I am using this to prep bare spots in my lawn for seeding. Breaks up surface of the soil without having to work too hard. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the adjustable handle. Occasionally slips if you don't have it tight enough. I am short and it works for me.

I have green house 10x25 all raised beds with a 2’ walkway down center. I mixed river bottom soil with bagged mulch and many 10lb cubes of dry coco coir that I hydrated before applying. This tool works great to mix and aerate the soil! Only issue the handle telescopes so most of time it stays at the lenth you select but when you push hard thru some clay dirt it tends to shorten. Haven’t figured how im going to solve that but its not a major issue. Buy one and enjoy. Love fiskars products, its the price that keeps me from owning them all! ... show more

Just got mine today and tried it out with a decent patch of not grass in the yard. It chews up dirt pretty good, doesn't uproot them or anything, but gets the dirt disturbed around them for seed. The only negative was the telescoping handle. It just isn't tight enough to hold in place for very long.

I saw this and was so exicited my son lives in Jamaica he just start a little farm across from his home the land pepared- and this was to help with the rows it did nothing it is fragile and total shame me. it cost me extra to box it up and ship it plus hve to pay extra to clear it from the custom when it got to Jamaica-cant even returned it because I send it now. I would not buy again or recommend this to anyone. I had so much high hopes. Now I give it a thumbs 👎 ... show more

Tines aren’t as sturdy as I expected. Ground has to be moist or it’s a real booger to push around. It clogged quickly but I think that’s normal with this type of tool. I don’t hate it but not in love with it either.
