We played with the settings and watched the videos. We ran into one area where it was to murky to get any read at all, not even the depth though we know it is over 3 ft there. So we're unsure if water conditions of the day effect it. We do know that no matter how we adjusted settings, it would detect foliage as 0 feet, so really have to keep it away from seaweed and stuff. That said, it helped us find a good spot and we caught over 20 bluegill in an hour. Storms were rolling in so we couldn't stay out much longer. But we did take the fishfinder to a couple other nearby waters and we're able to spot what we suspect were bass based on the size ans what we know is in those waters. Trolling behind a kayak I got a couple hours battery and it would occasionally drop connection but considering that’s not its intended purpose I didn’t take any stars off. I fish often and I've used fish finders before but this one is one of the lower qualities. Sometimes it doesn't show fish that I can clearly see in the water. Sometimes it doesn't want to connect to app. It also didn't come with a charger.

This product is good right out of the box. Easy to follow instuctions, easy to use. The graphics are great for a fish finder on your phone. I charged up the bobber and took it out to my lake. It showed everything you want in a fish finder to show. Temperature of the water, depth of the water. The terrain on the bottom of the lake and the fish and where they're at in depth of the lake.
