The media could not be loaded. I used these Tripquips Fishing Rod, 6.9ft 2Pcs Telescopic Fishing Rods Set, for 2 days fishing for channel catfish and both poles passed the test. Both reels were very smooth, and the telescoping poles were able to handle the fight of the catfish with no problem. I did use a net to land the fish instead of trying to deadlift them out of the water, but I use a net with all of my poles. The rod and reel can stay assembled and will still fit in the careering bag, it is a tight fit, but I found this to be a nice option. I now own 16 rod and reel combos and none of them cost over 25 dollars each, one is over 50 years old. Inexpensive fishing rods and reels can last a long time if taken care of. I did not use the line that came with this set, because I prefer to use lo vis green in the type of waters I fish. This will be a great set of poles to keep in my car if I want to go fishing on the fly, and they will be handy to use in my boat. I did not find anything to dislike about this fishing set. I was careful when I extended the rod and also when retracting the rod, I did not grab onto the guides to extend or retract the rods. This fishing set can defiantly handle some big fish, and if taken care of it should last for many years. This rod and reel set landed me a total of 10 catfish. Also, the green end on the rod helps a lot to see the end of the pole in low light conditions. I never used telescoping rods before, and now I am in love with this style of rod, and I recommend these Tripquips Fishing Rod sets to anyone that goes fishing. I wasn't really excited for this one when I ordered it because I thought I would be disappointed in it. I am happy to report that I was WRONG! This is a really decent package for the money. Currently at the time of this review this is priced at $49.99 minus a 20% off coupon = $39.99. That is a great deal in my opinion for 2 COLLAPSIBLE Poles, 2 Reels with REVERSE, 2 Spools of Line, an assorted small tackle box with a whopper plopper, 3 spoons, 2 circle hooks and some varied soft baits, a sinker and some beads....and a carry case that it all fits in EVEN WHEN THE POLES ARE PUT TOGETHER! The 2 spools of line as labeled work out to be about "18lb test" and they give you enough to get fishing right out of the box. However, I am probably going to save the second spool for a rainy day and use something that I trust a little more and know the quality of. That is just my preference and the line that comes with it is perfectly useable, albeit, a little short and leaves the spool way under filled which will affect cast distance and smooth running on the cast. NOT A COMPLAINT, just an observation. The poles, while not the highest quality poles, will do the job and work out to be about 7 foot poles with a high viz green section at the tip! Wasn't expecting that. It looks almost like it will glow in the dark but unfortunately it does not. That would've been sweet. The poles have plastic reel mounts but they feel sturdy enough for what this set is. A grab and go, keep it in the car or truck all the time and be “ready to fish at any moment" type of set. I am positive if you land a big channel cat or porky bottom feeder and your line survives that this pole would probably break but it is more than enough to get bass, perch, crappie, catfish, bullhead, carp, etc. I like that once I put the reels on the poles that I was actually able to put it back in the carry back with the little tackle kit and extra spool of line I had and I was able to zip it and still use it!!! That was the best part of my day right there! There is plenty of room still in the back for me to put in stuff that I actually want in there in addition to what came with the kit. The carry bag feels decent quality too. I wasn't scared I was going to skip teeth on the zipper or bust it while using it and it ends up being a really super nice travel size, especially considering that there are 2 poles in it! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this kit and I think it represents a good value. I like the convenience of it and that it disappears in storage in the truck when I'm not using it and it is not intrusive but when I want it I have two, 7 foot, fully capable poles ready to go in seconds! I would recommend this one. With realistic expectations I think most will be happy with it like I am. Plus the poles have a functional reverse! Hard to find feature on import reels! A+ item. I started to return but ended up missing the window cause.. life. Ended up purchasing new reels and we can make it work for now. Reels were terrible and a pain to get the line on. The telescopic poles are ok so far. The bag is cheap and zipper already broke.

Compressed they are small enough to get lost in the back of my car but they extend to full size rods far larger then i expected them to. And the small tackle box was enough for my son and i to start fishing. . We were on a large lake. Ended up catching a good size pike. Had zero problems with the rods and reals. Would definitely recommend! It is easy to handle and lightweight. Overall it's a good set for what it's for. It stays in my ride and I get an opportunity to go fishing it has everything I need to hang for a couple hours and relax. With it being a two pack I can even invite someone along.
