  • Daughter is Now Addicted to this!!
With so many different jumpers out there I was totally adrift at sea on which one would be better for my four month old daughter. I knew the crazy amount of happy reviews on some of the other Fisher Price jumpers is largely due to them being out there for a while now, which did make me look towards the newer models. I had also read reviews on the Luv Zoo, and the Rainforest, which, currently, were both cheaper than this one, but I did see where a few reviewers stated that one provided a bit of a safety hazard after their child's hand got stuck in one of the toys; and the other one I just didn't like the design. So I decided to try this jumperoo in Roarin' Rainforest as I try to buy expensive items in unisex just in case we decide to have another child. Let me say, this has been the best toy/buy of the year! When I got it in I was able to put this together in twenty minutes (and that's in between cooing at my daughter who was eyeing all the bright colored parts on the floor in interest from her perch in the swing, and cooking). It did take me a second to understand I had to take apart the two bottom bases, and after that it was just a matter of snapping pieces together. The monkeys on the top were the only things I couldn't seem to snap into place, and I had my husband do those for me. My daughter is also 25 and 1/2 inches long, and weighs 15 pounds, and she is way too short for this jumper even at it's lowest setting. But like others, I put a pillow underneath and that solved everything. She had no idea what it was she was in, and I ended up having to bounce her a few times in it before she understood. Needless to say, she took to it like a fish in water, and instead of bouncing up and down does this cute sway from side to side. She likes to keep her hands in the seat sometimes (again she is little for this device), but she has now figured out she can grab the toys on the top so we're progressing. As for the jumperoo, it has two monkeys on top for little ones to try to grab (my daughter hasn't even noticed them yet and is still too little to even attempt to make a grab for them), and features five toys along the activity tray. One toy features a mirror (it's more of a shadowy sticker mirror unlike the plastic one's seen on other toys) with a frog that can be moved from side to side right above it. Then there is a lion head in a ball with beads in it that a child can spin, and next to that is a toy with two little animals swinging down from an arch that also has two parts on the actual arch that can move. On the bottom of this toy is the music switches, and it can be switched to low volume and high volume, and to music all the time, or just music/sounds when the child bounces or hits the toy. It also features a flower on the bottom that when hit plays the music, and it has two leaves beside it that glow when the music or sounds play. It also makes a cool "boing" sound when the arch is hit. Beside this toy is a butterfly teether that has crinkle sounding wings, and lastly is another arch toy with two movable parts in the arch, and also features a swinging animal. Next to that is a small molded area in the tray for a bottle or to place another toy. The seat itself is a cute lion, and what I love about it is that my child is a supported sitter, and this helps hold her up and keep her stable! It does look like the ears are seating also, as if the back comes up very high, and while it does on my daughter, the ears and top portion of the cats head is just material, not the actual seat. But it does a great job of holding her up, and helping her stay supported. The seat also rotates so when she's older she can reach all the toys. So far I am in total love with this jumper! I really needed something to help keep my daughter off her back as she hates tummy time with a passion, and even hates her little seat that helps her to learn to sit up. I swear she's going to be walking before she learns to crawl! With this jumperoo she's able to be off her back, is totally entertained, and loooovvvesss it! She starts smiling when I'm near it now thinking she's going to be placed in it so she can play!! ... show more

  • Bouncing Happy Babies
Received this yesterday right on time. I have a 4 month old that needed something new to play with and my arms needed something that gave them a break. She refuses to go into the swing or bouncer I went everywhere to search for the perfect bouncer/ saucer. Walmart has a slight selection, Target does too but they were all priced well above 100.00. The Fisher Price Jumperoo, Roarin' Rainforest ended up being the winner of over a month of searching. When we received the product I will say I was disappointed, the box was torn to shreds. ( I cant rate it lower due to the fact it not being the sellers fault) it just sucked because it ended up scratching the side of the saucer. This is delivered in original box, not in an Amazon box. so if it rips, the product is exposed Anyway... to my point. VERY easy set up, took less than 15 minutes. Does require a Philips screw driver and 3 AA batteries. The Jumperoo is very colorful with a lot to look at, The seat spins and makes it easy for the baby to look at all the toys around them. The seat cover comes off and is very easy to clean and put back on. ( complete plus in my book) I will say, the jumperoo is almost too tall at the smallest height. No big deal, we stuck the changing pad underneath and Voila! our 4 month old jumps away. I do like that there is a little cut out to put snacks ( like baby puffs) when baby gets older to eat those. The reason I chose a jumperoo over a saucer was a few things: 1. babies love to bounce and jump, saucer does allow it some, but not like this does 2. the seat spins just like a saucer, so I look at a jumperoo as an updated saucer. 3. I had saucers with my 2 oldest children and those things were a beast that took up quite a bit of room. i dont know why but the jumperoo seems smaller but has just as much on it. Anyway, as a mother of 3 was this worth the $ spent? Absolutely! I would recommend this to other mothers ... show more

  • Our 6 month old loves it!
I haven't owned any of the other jumperoo products so cannot provide a comparison. However this new model rainforest jumperoo has been entertaining for our little one. It is the only toy he will play with for long periods of time. He is very active so loves the jumping, however, he also spends a lot of time exploring the various toys attached to the saucer. When he gets bigger the fabric monkeys on each side will give him something to reach for. The music isn't too annoying which is fantastic for me and his mother. You can set the music so it only plays when he moves or it can play continuously. There are two volume levels. You can also turn the music off which we do quite often. Our son is a little small for his age so we have to put pillows underneath so his feet can reach the floor. The unit is quite large and can be folded down to minimize it storage size slightly. But it will still take up quite a bit of room in your house. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is the high cost and the fact that most of the parts are just plastic. Seems to be a great product! ... show more

  • Entertaining and safe
I spent a LOT of time searching for which brand/style/product would not just be safest but the most entertaining for my little one. I am very happy that after over a week of reading through reviews and safety standards that this product was my choice. My only fear when I purchased this was that I had read several reviews spanning from multiple sites that the jumper wasn't the most sturdy - but no reports of actual falls/collapse of product that I could find (which was common among other choices I was debating). Although the bars do have a slight give and wiggle to them - my son has put this thing to the test! At 4 months old, 19lbs and 26", he has pushed this jumper to the limit by jumping full speed with all his chunky mite... and I no longer hover cringing that an accident is going to occur. My son absolutely LOVES this jumper. I would recommend this as a very fun and safe product to trust for your little one. ... show more
