First of, I'll admit it - I'm a coffee snob. That being said, I'm not sure what happened with some of the other reviewers' products, but I'm EXTREMELY happy with this coffee (so far*). The beans were all nicely roasted with no under-roasted beans or rocks like others have mentioned. The aroma is all
that a fresh, perfectly roasted Kona should smell like. The weight (without the bag) was 2 grams over 5lbs. I divided the beans up into 1lb bags and used my vacuum sealer to preserve the freshness. *Why "so far"? Well, to be honest, I still haven't tried a cuppa yet. But from everything I've observed and smelled so far, I'm sure it will be delicious. I'll update this review once I get a chance to do that.

This is better than any other brand. I’ve tried others. Kona coffee beats them all. The downside. Everyone wants me to make the coffee using Kona Coffee. I’m going through pounds of coffee. No bitter taste. No jittery nerves. Just a good cupper or as we say, “a good cup of Joe”.

I do not know much about coffee. I only really know what I think tastes good. This roast is nice. The flavor is robust without being strong and overpowering. For comparative purposes, I do not like Starbucks Pike place. I think it tastes like a cigarette tray. Although I would prefer a stronger flavo
r, Starbucks blond roast tastes better to me. I could categorize this roast as between Blonde and Pike Place in terms of strength of the flavor. It does not taste like cigarettes. It has a deep flavorful taste that is delicious with cream. I was out of cream one morning, and I tried it without. It is also pretty tasty black.

I enjoy dark roast coffee and have been satisfied more often than not. But, this "coffee" is, by far, the worst experience I have had with any bulk, whole bean coffee purchase. This stuff is un-drinkable. I dumped the remainder of the 5lb bag into the trash. Beware!

Which is good, because it stays fresher longer. When I use it, I will vacuum seal whatever is left to be stored. I have a container that can hold about 2 pounds, and it keeps air out too. So, I think my coffee will be just fine. The beans make a good pot of coffee

Okay taste, but the beans seem dry. No sheen to them, which makes me wonder about the roasting process.
