I never used this product. Hopefully I never will need to. I have practiced unraveling the stairs which are velcro strapped for easy storage in the red bag it came with. The bag is very durable material and bright red. This escape ladder is built very sturdy and the clamps that hold onto the window frame or balcony is wide and adjusts very easily. So I had gotten this out a few weeks ago after I had it just sitting in the box for a while. I wanted it because we have no way out of this house if a fire was to start downstairs. The next-door neighbor, who is a fire fighter seems to love setting fire to things. Anyways….. when I got this finally out of the box I noticed that one side refuses to click together meaning the ladder is at a very big tilts meaning if we was to ever have to use this god forbid this company would have been sued for a di faulty product NOT HAPPY ... show more

We received the ladder and looked like exactly what we wanted! However, I purchased this with the intent that it was new. The ladder we received had been used and was scratched up, it has dents and marks all over it. Disappointing to pay as much as we did to get a worn ladder.
