This is so soft and larger than many Queen sized quilts so more coverage. It is also 100% cotton and breathable. Our temperatures are getting into the 30's and 40's at night and I hold out turning on the heat for as long as possible so I threw a light muslin blanket under the quilt and it is plenty warm.
