This case is lockable (use TSA approved lock, not included). The top part is a solid shell to protect the club heads. The lower part is light weight durable nylon. It fold up into the shell when not in use, so it takes up very little space to store. The main compartment is quite large (at least for my clubs) so I felt like I needed put some padding inside to prevent the club heads from banging around. The outside pockets are deep, but fill up mostly inside - so if you stuff the inside with padding (blanket, towel, jackets, clothes, etc) you can lose space in the pockets. I’ve been looking for a golf travel bag that is light, and easy to use but most of all some thing that protects my expensive golf clubs. This is a mix between a hard bag and a soft bag and it works perfectly. It stores easy and it was an expensive, highly recommended.
