  • Entertaining narrative packed with practical advice and insightful observations
Cap Treeger in Finding the Way, spins a compelling narrative of a young entrepreneur’s journey to business success. Each of the 47 chapters have life and business tips that are practical, useful, and generally very insightful. The exercises at the end of the book, give the reader an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned and I highly recommend to spend as much time on the exercises as you do reading the book. It has truly inspired me to look at entrepreneurship in a new light. If you are interested in entrepreneurship or if you know of anyone around the entrepreneurial world, this book is for you. The narrative leaves you thoroughly entertained while life lessons and business tips provide many insights into the entrepreneurial life!!! ... show more

  • Envision and Discover Your Path to Entrepreneurial Success
Finding the Way zigged when other entrepreneurial books zagged. It told a story instead of promising a silver bullet. The author wrote my story—and the stories of thousands of other past and future entrepreneurs. If I were to go back 15 years and start over, I'd get this book first. I don't need to read 40 books on tactics and techniques. I need to know what life as an entrepreneur is like—sunrise to sundown, month to month, year to year—so that I can envision and discover my own path to success. "Story is the quickest way to the human heart," author Ted Dekker says. And Cap Treeger’s words accomplish just that. I haven't read any books like this before. Comes very, very highly recommended to entrepreneurs at every stage. ... show more

  • It's all about aligning incentives
Finding the Way has some great advice about keeping management and employees aligned and on the same page as owners of the business. There are valuable nuggets hidden throughout the book. Highly recommend! -SD

  • Fantastic book filled with sage advice
I've read many business books, and my favorite ones are written as stories similar to this one. I find straight textbook-type books really dull, and I also believe that we tend to learn best from experience and from stories. This book follows the up-and-downs of the life of an aspiring entrepreneur. It is packed with great experiences that other entrepreneurs can learn from, both successes and failures, as well as touches on the human impact that entrepreneurship can have on both the entrepreneur and those around them. One of the best business books I've read in a long time and is packed with a lot of great nuggets of wisdom! ... show more

  • Felt like I was there
An honest story of starting a business. I felt like I was sitting in the Waffle House next to Ren. The discussions and decision seemed realistic, not just from the point of view of someone trying to sell you on their own success.

  • Absolute must read for entrepreneurs, their families and friends
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Full of insights and experiences I could relate to as an entrepreneur. You can tell this was written by someone who has "been there and done that". Best book I've read in over a year.

  • Engaging, written as a novel with practical wisdom
