  • Let's take the village to the next level.
What a beautiful read! While every chapter was a lesson it transforms your thinking as you go. As a person that has worked in financial services for 21 years this book had me engaged, excited and hopeful. This book needs to be required learning for every child in the world. Thank you Mr. Bryant! You've done it again! In the words of my 15 son who had the pleasure to meet you earlier this year, "If not an entrepreneur what would you be." We are blessed that the Banker came into your school to pour into you! Congratulations on this masterpiece! To everyone reading this review take it from me a Banker as well you will Not find a better more effective read than this! ... show more

  • Great and Easy Read
I haven’t completed the entire book, I just got it a week ago, however it is very enlightening. It is written by a black author and the black community will greatly benefit from this book, but , everyone who is financial illiterate , (no matter what race, socioeconomic status, gender, religion), should read it . In the back the author gives resources including his own non- profit Operation Hope, that can help those of us that need to understand our finances and how finances and the economy can work for our benefit. This should be taught in schools, I am definitely going to mention to my granddaughter’s school. ... show more

  • a good read.
The book points out the importance of financial literacy and how it would solve a host of America’s problems. Useful nuggets for everyday actions individuals should take are scarce and scattered throughout the book. How do you raise your credit score 100 points? Answer not given: pay your bills on time or early. ... show more

  • Inspirational Masterpiece.
Very well written book with poignant and concise chapters and sections that eloquently tell a story while educating the reader on the importance of financial literacy. I did not want to put it down. The writing kept me engaged throughout. It feels weird describing a book written about finances like this. I believe John Hope Bryant achieved his goal. I highly recommend this book to any and everyone. This will be annual reading for me. ... show more
