I know these are good filters. However, when I went to install the first filter I took out of the package of filters that was just delivered by Amazon to my front door yesterday, ,it simply would not easily go in the slot of the furnace. Then I tried number 2 in the package, and it went in just fine!. Did the package take a kick o r fall so that the outside filter got messed up, I don't know. But I just wanted to pass this on. Perhaps I should return to Home Depot and get the filters there! ... show more

Price is why I ordered them here. Costco and Sam's Club do not carry this mere rating anymore they are now stocking something new and has a higher mere rating with means more air flow restriction that does not work for me. This style of filter is great and at $10.00 apiece you can not go wrong.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I have 4 of my own dogs, board 2-4 additional dogs, as well as live in Arizona in an extremely dusty area. These air filters do the job of trapping dust and allergens without any issues, but don't really stand out in any way. The MERV 11 rating provides decent filtration. Installation into my furnace was easy enough. They seem adequately durable and haven't required frequent changes. However, I didn't notice a major difference in air quality compared to cheaper filters. They're maybe a bit quieter. For the price, they work fine, but I'm not sure I'd purchase again when there are comparable lower cost options. ... show more

    • They work fine, but they are 1/8" wider than other 3M products

I switched from 12 MERV 3M 1x20x30 air filters to these 11 MERV 1x20x30 air filters. These are about 1/8" wider (20.125) and thicker (1.125). I have to cut/crush/remove some cardboard to get them to fit, whereas the other ones slipped right in.
