I got this fidget toy set because I wanted fidgets that looked less like toys and more 'grown-up.' These toys are a subtle black (and sometimes with silver metal parts) and they hold up pretty well to play. They aren't all completely silent (the spinner, three-ringed fidget, and chain link have a soft metal tingling sound). Be aware that one of the fidgets contains magnets that break apart! I would not give these to children, and I would be careful when playing with magnets or keeping them near electronics. These shouldn't be marketed to kids without clearer warnings about the magnets and how magnets are not safe to give to young children. ... show more

My partner was just diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, which we suspected for a long time. He will always mess around with the edges on blankets or tap his foot. So I ordered him these fidget toys and they are great for him. He has somewhere to place that nervous energy now. I no longer have to feel knots in my blankets on the couch bouncing when he is anxious. I love the variety in the toys given. He is sued to fidget spinners but these others toys were a great surprise. So it's a win-win! ... show more

So, for a small collection of fidget toys, the price is pretty sweet; I've seen individual spinners that cost triple what this whole set goes for. You can probably assume that some of those were engineered to higher specifications / made of higher-end materials, and you'd probably be right.... But I've been fiddling with these a lot, and I've yet to break them, nor has the spinner become less well balanced / spun any less smoothly. So to break them down (and I'm sure there are better names for the parts, but you are getting my descriptions): - A set of two, well, springs, done into flexible rings. They are a good sensory toy; they aren't going to scratch you easily, but they have a nice rough feel, and can be stretched and bent. Easy to hold in your hand and use, if nothing else, like a worry stone. - Chain links with rubber gaskets. I'm not sure what I should call it, but think of a bike chain that you took a few inches of, and connected the ends together, then put in rubber gaskets around each post/pin to protect your fingers. There's no (well, to me) obvious way you are 'supposed to' fiddle with it.. but lots of ways you can -- from just putting it around a finger tip and rotating it around a finger, to pushing one end into the center, then rotating it around the axis, moving different ends to that center point... Entirely pointless, and what a fidget toy often should be - Three magnetic rings. They are magnetic, and hold to each other fairly well, but are light weight. Honestly, my least favorite of the set, but there's nothing wrong with them, and they seem to have well setup bearings as they spin around their inner rings smoothly. - A pair of linked.. well, keyrings. At first it seemed like they had gotten smooshed together or something and I would need to bend them apart / run them along the split right to seperate them, then, by accident, I pushed them the right way, and discovered that you can basically loop them thru each other, over and over. It's small, silly, and excellent for a no-eyes needed fidget. - Last, the obligatory Spinner. At first, I thought it had issues, but they I discovered that you have to push the central disc down from the ends to keep it from basically being locked in place and align it to the bearings. Each of the three ends can also spin independently. Sturdy, and with very smooth movement. Are they the greatest fidget toys out there? Well, I'm sure there are better.. But for around two bucks each, it is a nice set, with enough variety to suit different people, and so far they've held up to me not really being very careful with them. Note: Small parts, so be careful around anyone who's likely to put things in their mouth/nose/ear/etc. ... show more
