This has been a life saver. I suffer from anxiety & often pick at my nails so much so that they bleed & are painful. I needed something that kept my hands busy without thinking about it. This is the second fidget dodecagon I've bought and I highly recommend them. While the first one I bought broke, it lasted for a little over 3 years despite some very rough handling from some of the kids I work with, including kids trying to pull pieces off and throwing it. Ultimately the texture side fell off, part of the rubber loop snapped off, and the item broke in half after getting thrown across the room (obviously not its intended use). But for context, most of my fidgets start to break within a year, so the fact that this held up for so long is actually miraculous. Especially because it's easily the most popular fidget in my basket -- even more popular than my fidget cube or squishies, and it's popular with boys and girls alike. It's great for keeping kids who need to fidget engaged. The first time they see it, the number of options can be a little distracting, but once they've taken them all in, it isn't so distracting and can help them focus. I think it would be a great one to carry with you (or for your child to carry with them), because having all sorts of sensory stimulation from one fidget removes the need to carry as many. A number of the buttons and things on it do click and clack, though I think it's quieter than popits, and also there are a number of things one can play with on it that don't make any noticeable noise. ... show more

This is by far my FAVORITE fidget. It’s compact with a lot of different ways to fidget. I got the black, the colors are so aesthetically pleasing. One side fell off but it was easy to snap right back on so I hope it last :)

As someone living with ADHD and anxiety, this little toy has been an absolute game-changer in managing my stressful energy and need to fidget!! The variety of activities and textures on each side provide endless options for fidgeting, helping to redirect my nervous energy and reduce anxiety. In terms of noise level, it's mostly discreet, so I can use it in meetings or during tasks that require focus without drawing attention (one of the sides has an on/off switch that can be loud though). I have a problem with interrupting people while they talk by either getting up to pace or interjecting with my own thoughts, and this helps me to sit still more calmly and just listen. My only wish is that it came in more professional and adult colors, as it's such an effective tool that I'd love to carry it with me EVERYWHERE. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly recommend the Dodecagon to anyone dealing with ADHD or anxiety. This is a fantastic option as far as fidgets go. Great product for the price—doesn’t feel cheaply made. Has many texture differences and options to keep the hands and mind busy. My only complaint is that the strap that is used for you to attach it to bags, etc. is a poor design and breaks easily. I find that I can focus on reading, watching, or listening to things a lot better when I am doing something with my hands. I wasn't sure I would like this thing but I find myself reaching for it more than other fidgety items that I have on my desk. It fits in the palm of my (average adult woman sized) hand. It's also really easy to take with me if I have an appointment or something. I have had it for about two months and haven't had any issues with any of the pieces breaking, coming off or getting stuck (and I do pull on the little loop part a lot). I would feel comfortable giving this to an older child, if that is a consideration for you. The buttons and switches do make a clicking sound, so if you need a fidget that is silent, it is probably not the best pick, but I honestly think the sounds make it more fun (if you're in an appropriate situation, like muted on a zoom call). I don't have anything negative to say about it except that I wish it came in pink! ... show more
