Bought this for my 13yr old son as his second drone. He absolutely loves it. Small but mighty. It zips through the air, acrobatic moves, good battery life and range. Camera quality is surprisingly good with how small it is. I'd say it's beginner friendly. Quick, easy setup and simple instructions. It's best used indoors in my opinion. You can use it outdoors but just be cautious of the weather. A gust of wind can send it for a ride. LOL. Only thing I would change and it's not even a big deal is the color. Outdoors being a small black drone can be a little challenging to keep track of. Bright neon tips or something easily seen would be very helpful. ... show more

I brought this mini drone for my eight year old son who had been requesting one for his birthday. It is small in size but very fun. He absolutely loves it. It is very beginner friendly and was easy to setup. I really liked that they gave us an extra battery. It took him a couple of days to get use to the remote but once he grasped it, no problems. This drone far exceeded our expectations. We purchased for our son’s 12th birthday and he and his friends spent a ton of time outside flying it and using their phones connected to the camera. The controls can be challenging at first but once they got the hang of it they were off. It comes with 2 chargeable batteries and a few extra propeller covers. Very good it flies very nicely and very easy to control I wish they would give you a little more of the propeller protections maybe add two more to the bag cuz they do fall off other than that definitely should buy definitely nice that they give you a backup battery

Camera is basically useless and remote's phone mount is too small for my normal sized phone. So thats the bad parts in a nutshell. As a little drone to play with in or outdoors is cool. But uou can get something for that purpose a lot cheaper without a camera. No camera means you dont need a phone mount either. So save the money and get a fun little drone without a camera. Also the replacement propellers for this thing are hard to find and they sell them on Amazon but you have to buy a whole kit with a new battery and propeller guards just to get 4 propellers (2 As and 2 Bs). Cool drone but not that easy to operate at least for some that never done it before. Gave it as a gift to my 12yo. He played a little inside our home and when he went outside it took off, kept climbing until lose control and fell into the woods. Never found it.
