    • Great flashlight. Very Powerful--use caution
I love flashlights and this is a great one. These are very powerful flashlights that fit easily in the hand, and do not require fumbling around to find the two control buttons, as both are in the end cap, are large and easily distinguished . The two button arrangement makes it very easy to turn on and select the power level you want. The two lowest powers are both useful and do not seem to drain the battery very quickly. We live in an area with many animals, and the higher powers pick up reflections from eyes in the forest if you hold the device close to your own eyes. The highest power is stunning, but caution is needed. It would be dangerous store this device in a way the buttons might accidentally be pushed, and not be noticed, such as in a backpack. At high power, a great deal of heat is generated very quickly, and I have little doubt that it could damage plastics or paper next to the light if left on for more than a few seconds. The USB C charging connection is very convenient. It charges surprisingly fast. The rubber cover for the charging port seems a bit fragile, but I have had no problems with it so far. The belt holster is necessary and adequate. I would not carry the device in a pants pocket. ... show more

Get this! USB c charging from outside so you don’t have to unscrew the back! Buttons are simple and intuitive! Turbo is super bright. The spread will light a field and the spot can go super far!

This flashlight is super bright and holds a charge for a really long time. It charges fully in a couple of hours so you can lug it in before you go to bed if needed. Purchased for my police officer grandson. really liked the end switch for changing the brightness level. much easier than fumbling for the button near the front on his previous fenix 36r. His sergeant asked about it, so it would seem that he also was impressed.

    • Super bright tactical light but it gets HOT!
I needed a new light since my kids have been breaking the cheaper ones I've had. Finally I decided to pony up and buy a nice tactical light and I had 3 criteria. 1) Bright 2) Durable 3) Rechargeable. There's a lot of high end manufactures and there's twice as many knockoff brands. I bought this on a whim and charged it up when I received it. It was less than 50% charge when I received it and it took probably around 2 hours to charge it to full. The manual states that it takes around 3 hours to fully charge the battery from a low charge. There's a strobe tap feature and if you use the other button it has a tap feature as well or an "on" position. While it's on you can use the strobe button to cycle through 5 brightness levels. The lowest one is pretty dim to where I don't see a practical use for it. The highest setting "Turbo" is bright and the manual says that it should last almost 1hr 45mins on the highest setting. But here's the issue.... using the flashlight for a few minutes the light emitting end gets SUPER hot! The manual states that once it gets to a certain temperature it will cycle to a lower brightness level. But using it with my bare hands I wouldn't really want to hold it for long since the heat creeps up the handle. Knowing this is a tactical flashlight I would assume most users would be wearing gloves and I love the brightness of the light but I had to deduct a star due to the heat. It's bright so that's #1, I read from others that their flashlight takes a beating and keeps on ticking so that's #2 and it has a rechargeable 21700 battery so there's #3.
