  • Did the job
This gasket isn't the dealer rubber on aluminum type but the rubber is fairly hard and seems to be a good quality replacement which should not "cold flow". Given the propensity for this transmission leaking I honed the transmission interface with 1000 grit emery paper to remove all marks. This gasket sealed things right up. Found that my other significant leak was a loose clamp on the transmission cooling hoses which allowed fluid to come down the side of the transmission which appeared to be a leaking gasket as it caught the lip of the pan. Once I replaced the clamp all was well. ... show more

  • Far Better than the others
This gasket is so much better than the other thinner ones, and the holes are much smaller so you can ensure the gasket doesn't move around while you're screwing the oil pan back on. The only thing is that you have to take your time with this one, push it over all of the bolts until it meets flush with the oil pan, and do a lot of rounds of tightening the bolts to make sure you don't fold it or stretch it. Doesn't leak, and works a hell of a lot better than the silicone the idiots at AAMCO used. Believe me, the extra few bucks is well worth your time. ... show more

  • Soft felt.
I thought it was going to be more rubber-like, but was just felt. If you need to change your fluid in that car within a few days - it will fall apart. At least they are cheap so I gave 3 stars. I put it in and will have to replace it after the 30,000 miles again because it will likely fall in pieces again. I am curious if I need to cover it in trans fluid as recommended, or if it will last longer if it stays dry? ... show more

  • Great, high quality gasket
When I changed my transmission filter I initially used the cork gasket that came with the filter. After two days it starting leaking and was really pissed off. Saw that Amazon.com had this Fel-Pro gasket and ordered it. From past experiences I know that Fel-Pro gaskets are high quality and just about guarantee a leak-proof connection. After about a month there is no leak and no pool of oil on my garage floor. Fel-Pro = quality! ... show more

  • Fits perfectly on a Mazda Protege 5
Fits perfect and seems to be the proper thickness for the trans pan.

  • Came quick. Didn’t do the trick
Did not fit the 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactive sedan. Forced to purchase form a gasket in a can. Black stuff. And had good reviews and no leaks now months after install.
