Bought this same model about ten years ago. Absolutely loved the auto on / auto off while using a tool (Mirka and Metab sanders for me) Great dust capture … and the micro particulate (heavy felt internal “filter”) worked very well. Kept it under the the bench directly available for use on the table saw or bench tool. One day … just would not turn on … tried everything … sent it in … over $200 to repair. Looked around for equivalent … Bosch / Porter Cable / Makita / HATE FESTOOL / etc. so expensive for the specific dust collector options. Went ahead and bought another one of these Feins … as it did work great for the ten years. Note : the old one ? Threw the motor away, keeping the hose and accessories. Also kept the rolling “tub” … making it a great trash can. )smile( ... show more

    • Works great with my mitersaw station.

The hose locked into my Bosch Compound miter saw (GCM12SD) with no additional parts. I really like the auto start and shutoff when I use my mitersaw - no need to reach down to turn the vac on or off. It has plenty of suction to improve dust collection on my saw.

Great vacuum, very quiet, not cheap but long lasting based on my experience with previous Fein vacs. I've had 2 before and after 15 years of service are still going strong. But now I can't get replacement parts for them
