This helmet appears to be solidly built with quality material. It is lightweight and the fit is excellent. Padding is comfortable overall and it has a wide range of vision. I love the matte look. The clasp is strong and adjusts easily, secures easily and stays put. Overall comfort is pretty good, the padding provides a pretty solid cushion and isn't too firm. There's no free lunch on motorcycle helmets. The quality ones will be expensive because the advanced materials required are not cheap. This one is made from basic plastic and styrofoam. The fabric liner is paper thin. That's why it's $60, not $260. But you get good value for your $60. The carbon fiber look is well done and has held up perfectly in the month I've used it. The wratcheting chin strap is fast and convenient. The visor is held on by plastic screws that should be fine if you never remove the visor. They won't hold up if you take the visor on and off. I have many helmets and I'm right between medium and large in size. I got the large and it's a bit big. But I think the medium would be too tight. The thing with cheap helmets is all sizes use the same shell so sizing is limited. The 'cutouts' for the ears are a bit too small for my western cabbage head so the lobes get squished. I've had helmets become extremely uncomfortable at about the 30 minute mark when new. This one never became uncomfortable. However, it's tight at the temples. You won't be able to slip in sunglasses without them pressing painfully on your temples. You will need to wear separate goggles with this helmet. Note that DOT certification is all but meaningless. It's an old and very low standard. No testing is required. The manufacturers just have to promise they meet it. I think anything this side of a thick cardboard box will meet the standard. I would not wear this for high speed use. I use it on my single cylinder 'adventure' bike when cruising around on local dirt roads. It looks more appropriate than wearing my full face racer helmets. Cooler too. So good value for the money, 100% better than not wearing a helmet. But there are many better helmets out there. ... show more

My 13 yo son has earned an e-bike to begin traveling around the neighborhood and start to get a feel for his surroundings as we prepare for him to start learning how to drive. He is required to follow all the rules of the road using the appropriate hand signals for anyone on a bike. It doesn’t have turn signals. Given that the bike can get up to about 20 miles per hour, I felt that he needed something stronger than a normal bike helmet. He loved the aesthetics of this helmet, but said that it was too tight. In my opinion, the tighter the better as I feel that is what is going to keep him the safest. However, you can see how his glasses are slightly off because it doesn’t fit well over them. So if you want to wear eye wear/eye protection (face shield is not included with this helmet) then the tightness might be an issue for you as well. ... show more

I got this because I use an e-bike as my daily commuting vehicle. After a minor scare that ended with me flipping over my front handlebars and nearly landing on my face, I decided it was a good idea to get a helmet. I chose this one because it looks cool and it isn't as bulky as a full-blown motorcycle helmet. It doesn’t have a visor that comes down, either. This helmet is similar to a Fox Racing motocross helmet, and you can wear goggles with it. It performs just as well as a name-brand helmet, and I feel equally confident wearing it. I even tested it by banging my head against the wall to give it a thorough stress test. It really feels like it’s going to hold up, so I’m happy with it. ... show more

I got this for my kids so they'll be able to ride around our field on the 4 wheeler and have a little bit of head protection. It fits them well and doesn't wobble around. I wouldn't use this helmet for highway use, though I suspect it would hold up and protect fine. I'm just not willing to find out. For slower speeds on the 4 wheeler in the field and a little off road travel though, it works perfectly well and that's precisely what I got it for. ... show more

This helmet is designed extremely well. I dont have any complaints to speak of at all. It fits my 12 year old son perfectly in the size medium. Hes a bit taller than most 12 year olds and i feel like he still has a bit of room to grow although it fits perfect right now! My favorite part about this helmet is that you can move your head side to side and up and down a lot more than most other helmets. It has great breathability. Every part feels very high quality and you can remove the visor very quickly without any tools. Visibility is as good as it gets. My son was able to fit a large adult sized pair of sunglasses while wearing the helmet. You wont have any problems wearing goggles or any kind of prescription glasses with it. It feels very comfortable and durable and at the same time very lightweight. Great value for this price point. Looks awesome too!!! ... show more

When you keep in mind that you can have this helmet for $60, it's a pretty impressive package. The things I liked about it were the fit, it's really light weight and the shape is modern looking. Obviously, at this price they had to cut some corners. The liner is made with a pretty low quality fabric and I am sure the foam padding is the same. The carbon fiber look might impress some but I doubt it is real, certainly in light of the price. The visor is nice but I have seen before the plastic screws that hold it in place. I remember them because they broke. If you need a spare helmet to keep in the truck or trailer just in case you or a friend forget, this is better than some stinky old used helmet. Likewise, if you need a helmet for passengers in a side by side, this will work fine to satisfy any helmet requirement and it looks good. I would not use this for street riding or racing, you just don't know the quality of how it's built. ... show more
