  • These are great Bicycling Power Data for multiple bicycles.
I’ve had these pedals about four weeks and they’ve been wonderful. Compared to my Zwift power metrics (Wahoo Kickr 2018) it seems very accurate. I upgraded from an old Velocomp unit which was inconsistent and data was not real time. It also was hard to calibrate and needed calibration often. The Assioma pedals is self calibrating other than the zero offset when you change bikes. I can do it quickly from my Wahoo Bolt v2-see photos. It takes me about two minutes to switch the pedals from bike to bike, set the crank length and perform a calibration (zero offset) with the pedals in vertical position. (Just have some good bike grease.) If the Duo had been in my price bracket, I would have gotten those, but the Uno really gives all the data I need. I’m not a pro cyclist. I just like data and these are a great solution. ... show more

  • More questions than answers
I am giving the pedals a 4/5 only because they did not work well for what I purchased them for and I returned them. I bought to use with my indoor bike for interval training. My bike seems to run high and wanted more accurate stats. I read that other people bought power meters so I bought these. I used them with multiple apps and got way different data. Most of the time I got super high numbers. So I emailed tech support. Everything was calibrated correctly. But I couldn’t send my stats via an app, only a bike computer. So I bought one. And then my stats were literally half of what they were on the app. So were they doubling like they should of due to just the one computer? I emailed my file and tech support wasn’t sure. How can you not be sure? The computers are super sensitive. I felt like buying these gave me more questions then answers. But I am not an outdoor cyclist and am not a professional. I was buying them so I could compare stats with peloton friends and other app workouts. So if that’s your intention, I do not suggest. I also think they should have their own app for stats. Not third party or bike computer. I personally loved the pedal itself, nice small sleek design. ... show more

  • All I care about is watts and w/kg so the uno was a perfect solution for me
Bought the Favero after a lengthy time on the internet. All sights gave it favorable review compared to the Vector 3. Since I already have a stages crankarm PM on one of my bikes, I've decided to get the Favero for my SRAM red crankset. SRAM Red 22 is very hard to get PM on it. Yeah you can go Quarq, but that's expensive. All I care about is watts and w/kg so the uno was a perfect solution for me. Installing the pedals were straight forward. Setting up takes one extra step compared to the stages setup. So to get it going, you will need to 1. install pedals. 2. Charge the pedals for about 30min 3. install favero app and open it. 4. rotate crank couple time and on the app hit search. You will see the pedals. Click on Activate. Fill in simple info for the pedals (This is for the 2 year warranty). 5. Add favero to your head unit (mine was edge 520). 6. do zero offset. 7. get on trainer or ride on a flat service and pedal for about 30sec (at least for me) and calibration will be complete and you'll start seeing power reading. Now for the pedal tension. It's bonkers stiff on default settings. I like stiff tension pedals, but this will turn off a lot of riders who are not use to it. I would recommend counter clockwise on tension. Even at it's lowest setting, I would say its around 12nm. I'm sure time will loosen the tension, but just be aware if you don't loosen the tension, you might have a mishap when unclipping on the road. I've been using look pedals since I've 1st gotten into road biking, so look keo and grip keo works. However, grip keo is a little harder to clip in. the PM performs flawlessly and had 0 issues so far. Stages Gen3 and Favero readings are almost identical. Cadence is about the same. I'm really enjoying the Favero PM and would highly recommend them. ... show more

  • Addressing two commonly cited complaints
I ordered the Assioma UNO so that I could easily swap a power meter between bikes, because they are lightweight and because the price is pretty good (I don't need the DUO, just something that gives me a consistent reading). I was interested in the Garmin Vector 3 pedals but delays and some poor reviews led me to the UNOs. Addressing to the two biggest complaints I saw in other reviews before ordering: The pedals do sometimes spin a bit when trying to clip back in. Where my Shimano 105 pedals will only spin a half turn or so, these might actually spin around something like two or three full turns before you can catch it and clip your foot into the right spot. It's not every time, I think only when my foot kicks it on accident, typically when starting on an incline. This is the reason I took off one star. The other issue cited in some reviews is the pedal tension for clipping and unclipping. After my first short ride I thought I may actually have to send these back because unclipping was just too difficult and a real safety issue. I spent some time adjusting the tension and all is good now, they are maybe even slightly easier to clip out of than my 105 pedals set to the easiest tension. It's true that this part of the pedal doesn't seem all that well built, however. The screw to adjust the tension seems a bit flimsy, so it's tough to say if this will hold up forever. If I run into issues down the road, i'll update my review. For now, the tension is perfect and I'm happy. The pedals sync easily and quickly with my Wahoo Bolt and power readings are good. 8 month update: All is good. Pedal tension has held true. Never any synching issues, no power dropouts, battery last long enough that I never really think about it. The pedals spinning around some when trying to clip in does still bother me just a tiny bit. No hesitations in recommending the UNOs. 3 year update: Still all good. In a couple hundred rides I've only had one power reading during a sprint that I thought was abornaml. ... show more
