Description

The Metal Earth models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces using wire cutters and follow the included directions to assemble your model. A drum set is a collection of drums and other percussion instruments set up to be played by a single player. The first recognizable ancestors of the modern drum kit were born in the Vaudeville era. The model is 3.2x2.15x2.05 inches when built. Difficulty level: Moderate. No glue or solder needed.

  • So adorable
It was so much fun to build and it was so adorable, i used it as a cake topper. Perfect for small crafts but require a lot of patience, it helps a lot to use tweezers

  • this is horrible. I thought it was assembled
if there was no stars, this is the product id give that to. NO STARS. this is horrible. I thought it was assembled...HORRIBLE. when i got it i was like whhaaaaaaaa?! i have to put this together!!! but i needed it for a birthday cake the same day it arrived, so i has like okay how hard can this be? when i started trying to separate the stuff...instructions were confusing! and the stuff is like SO TINY! This is that one product youd just want your money back for. definetely not worth it. I could have bought one already assembled from the store but i made the mistake of not reading. So i tried to save money but i threw it down the drain. I hope the seller reads this and gives me my money back. DO NOT BUY if you dont like to assemble things and just for the record...it was difficult to even make this piece look THAT perfect because the steel folds so you end up with like a prism or something else but not a cylinder (for drums.) snare drums dont look ANYTHING close to pretty. So again BAD PRODUCT...oh and it may cut you while trying to asseble! ... show more

  • Go BIG!!
The kits not bad, little tedious here and there but take your time and it comes out nice. Bought TWO and made a proper set for my new Ryzen rig I built to write music on. Turns on a USB turntable while Neal Peart shows us how it's done on the tiny HDMI monitor inside the case. Thank You Metal Earth you made my Rig a big success!! ... show more

  • Complex
My friend (Non Engineer) had a huge amount of trouble putting this together. I purchased this as a gift. He opened the box and started sorting the parts. After staring at the pieces for a good while he said "This isnt going together." I then questioned my friend, why would you not want to put that together do you not like it??!!! he frowned saying "No I do!" I then replied "Good let me know when its done so I can write a review." :D Update: Its still not together but he still likes it. ... show more

  • Beautiful but hard to assemble
This drumset got me by surprise on how intricate work it was going to take from me to assemble together. I almost gave up in the first try, but I decided to put more effort into it and I finish it. For someone like me who has never done anything like this before it was very hard, I broke 2 parts when the instructions indicated they needed to be bended a little and obviously I couldn’t fix them. I used eyebrow tweezers the entire time. It took me 2 days to assemble, 4 hours the first day and 5 on the second day. This is not for kids, not to help you to assemble it and not to play with, but it’s perfect to be used as a decorative piece. Overall I did have fun and felt accomplished. ... show more

  • Details Have Amazing Accuracy
These drums have taken model building to a new dimension. I spent many engaging hours building this elaborate drum set. The details are astounding - kick pedal, hi hat stand and rim of the tom all make this an outstanding model. Persevere with this model and you will be a master at making circular pieces. Folks use different styles for rounding the pieces, such as: wooden dowels, ballpoint pens, and drill bits. Completing this drum set equips you with strong skills and that makes future models more enjoyable to build. I do not recommend this model for beginners. If you are a seasoned veteran of Metal Earth, this one won't pose any serious problems. I take my hat - I mean my hi hat - off to this cool little model! ... show more

  • Impossible to put together, not due to intelligence
This metal model tells you to put a couple pieces on, then proceeds to tell you in the next step to put a piece on the little drums yet you are not able to due to the fact that the prior pieces that were put on are in the way. The only way to fix it is to remove and most likely break the piece that is in the way. If I am wrong, feel free to let me know and I will fix this review. Maybe lack of sleep made me overlook something. I have done about 15 metal models and have come across similar issues, but not this bad. ... show more
