  • Super INSECURE, because you may lose any data on it at any time
Capacity: 2TB
After a few months, I now have to back up what the negative reviews are saying: This drive won't unlock. After multiple times entering the CORRECT code, it just acts like it was incorrect. It may unlock if I wait a day...or maybe not. I've had to move all the data off this drive because I never know when it'll totally lock me out. Avoid this thing and save you money. I suspect the positive reviews here were written in the first weeks of owning this drive. Mine worked great for a while too. Just wait. ... show more

  • Drive sucks and so does Amazon return on this.
Capacity: 500GB
Awful. Awful product and horrible Amazon run around to return. First Amazon- Puhlease you wont let me just send this pile of junk back without a 15 minute interview? It is bad enough this product ruined a week of my work. Product- Listen Hard- do not buy this product. Like others I put the code in, transferred 200 gb worth of work to it and it would not ever allow me to reinput the code. If I didn't have a back up it would be lawsuit time. ... show more

  • 4 days without tech support and climbing
Capacity: 1TB
Ordered this for a project with an out of state software developer. Need to send them a bunch of sensitive data. Developer, I, their IT department, my IT department, etc have tried for week and half on our own, and 4 days with messages to their tech support to get help. Can't get this drive to be recognized by any computer in our office whatsoever. Tech Support is not by phone, it's email, and slow as crap. Favorite moment is so far is sending them a page of technical data on computers and software we have, including the name of their product, etc and them saying, can you give us some info on what you are working with. My response was to copy prior emails and posts to their online portal with every detail you could possibly want followed by hours of radio silence so far. If there as a zero stars rating would give it. ... show more

  • Information Secured!
Capacity: 1TB
As an information security practitioner, this external hard drive is definitely secure! 20 bad pin tries = data wiped Reset the drive = data wiped Unplug and replug = enter the pin No interaction with the drive for more than 3-5 minutes = enter the pin If you want to keep your files secure - this type of device, and specifically this device - then very it. Good quality Easy to use Seems durable Great price ... show more

  • Don't bother with even giving it a try.
Capacity: 1TB 7200RPM
Product arrived faster than expected. Great right? This was the highlight of this purchase. Drive arrived and instructions were concise and clear. Problem was, I received a device I believe had been previously used as I couldn't access the drive to even enter a pass code. Put your hundred bucks to better use elsewhere. Thanks for wasting a ton of my time FD. ... show more

  • Weak connector build creates problems
Capacity: 500GB
Not recommended. The encryption mechanism works as advertised once you understand that the decryption code has to be input slowly (inputting the code too quickly apparently is not allowed by the security mechanism). I also have no problem with the drive's read/write time or data throughput speed. However, the build quality of the Micro-B USB connector port is unacceptable. After less than a year of light-duty use, the drive began to immediately disconnect any time that it was moved even a few inches. After 10 months of use the drive would begin to spontaneously disconnect during read/write operations, even when the drive and cable are completely stationary. This is unacceptable. If they put decent port hardware on this device, I would have no complaints. ... show more

  • Does not unlock
Capacity: 1TB
Hard drive does not unlock. This is the second one I purchased, thinking that I might have forgotten the password on the first but no this one doesn't unlock either. And they cannot be returned because of the information that is saved on it. I do not recommend.

  • This is the worst product. Using my code
Capacity: 1TB
This is the worst product. Using my code, extremely difficult to unlock. Absolute garbage. Press pin press unlock. Takes 20-30 tries to unlock. I did not reset code and it unlocked under different pin than originally entered. Next time unlocked under original pin. Now will not unlock, period.
