I do most of my pottery work in the studio, so I only use this when I bring pieces home to trim. So far I think there quality is great! The heavy weight keeps it stable, it’s also level, and spins nicely and easily.

This is my first turntable for art and it has dramatically improved the experience. The unit glides smoothly. I am not concerned about the rusting others have experienced as I don’t use it for any type of wet media but appreciated knowing that was an issue for some before purchase. I got an aluminum one as well to use with wet stuff but I bought a used one that had been dropped which resulted in a crack. I think if this one was dropped the cast iron would break not crack if anything happened at all. Still I’m careful with it, and I love it. I love the smoothness with which it spins and I love the weight of it. The heaviness is necessary I feel to spin just right. The aluminum version is not like that. If this broke for any reason, I would be buying another one tomorrow. It’s now a staple art tool to me. Can’t live without it. ... show more

I accidentally ordered this item, but I am glad I did! It is awesome for designing pottery and other things you may need a turntable for. It’s extremely sturdy and turns very smoothly. I have used wet clay on it and left it sitting, there has been no rust at all. Very high quality for the price. I would recommend this to anyone who is contemplating purchasing it! For the price, I had to try these. I ordered two. I wiped them down and sprayed a coat of rustoleum “hammered finish”. They look grate! and I’m hoping that the rustoleum keeps the rust/stains that were mentioned in the comments away.

This is a great banding wheel for someone who doesn't want to lift 10 lbs every time you want to use it. It works well for those who want to stand or sit. Nice cushion on the bottom. It also is one of the less expensive options
