This rug came vacuum wrapped into a tiny 1x1' brick. You open it and lay it out and it flattens and fluffs up within a day. The color is excellent and the shag is extremely soft. The bottom grips very well to our basement epoxy floor, luxury vinyl plank, or low berber carpet. My only knock is the padding. While I have my larger area rug out for cleaning I needed a smaller one to keep my kitchen table in place. This fit the bill beautifully. It is incredibly soft almost to the point of being slippery. It also does not have the thicker backing of traditionally larger area rugs. This backing is very much like that of a bath mat. Would I put this in a high traffic area? Not likely but as a temporary fix while having my other rugs cleaned or maybe on top of another carpet, sure. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I gave it 4 stars rating mainly because of the strong odor right out of the box! Hopefully, the strong odor will disappear soon. I ordered “wine color” but when I received it, It’s a pretty deep purple color. In the video, color is a little off. But it’s true color in the picture! It’s deep purple, which I like a lot bette than what it’s shown on the website! So if you get the wine color, expect to get the deep purple instead! It’s super fluffy and soft to the touch! Both my cat and dog (chow chow) love it. It’s high pile rug, which I like. I ordered 5x7 and it fits my sectional sofa perfectly. Packaging was nice! The rug is fairly lightweight. It fluffed up right away as should as it came out of plastic wrapper. I haven’t washed it yet, so I can’t comment on shredding, but I do have similar style rugs and they have been on many washes, and they haven’t shredded yet. My house has tiled floors throughout: easy to sweep clean and cool during most of the year - but those tiles can be cold underfoot in winter! As a result, I am always on the lookout for nice rugs that will curb the chill without breaking the bank - and this one certainly fits the bill. It ships in a vacuum-sealed bag, so it doesn’t look like a 6-foot by 4-foot rug when it arrives, but it starts to expand as soon as the bag is opened - so stand well back! I put it at the foot of the bed and it looks great: all of my bedroom furniture is dark wood and the wine rug goes very nicely with the bed and dresser - but the wine would also be an equally good fit with the light pine furniture elsewhere in the house. And, while I’m using it on tiles, obviously it would be a nice accent rug on a carpeted rug. The shag is deeper than I had expected, which is nice, and very soft under bare feet - no more brrrr…. in the bedroom! There is a rubber backing that keeps the rug in place when I walk on it - no slapstick sliding for me - but somehow the cats can manage to shift the rug when they launch themselves from it or chase each other across it, so it is not *completely* non-slip! According to the manufacturer, the rug is machine-washable: I haven’t had to test that yet, but it’s good to know, should the need ever arise - I just need to remember to air dry it! The rug is available in a range of sizes and colors: I am very happy with the 6’x4’ in wine and would have no hesitation in getting the same style in a different size or color for my home. ... show more

    • Great but not for robovacs

This area rug is soft. It has great color and feels quite good under the feet, even with shoes on. It’s quite thick, high pile, and my robovac can’t drive onto it because it’s tall enough for it to sense. I put this in the bedroom but may have to move it because it happens to be where my vacuum “lives” and has trouble finding its base as it has to avoid the carpet. I might just find another place for Steve McClean (robovac’s name) and move him because I really like this carpet where it’s at. The backing on the carpet does a good job of gripping the linoleum where I have it and it doesn’t want to budge. This alone makes the carpet worth it to me. I love that it’ll stay precisely where you put it. All considered, this carpet is great and as long as you don’t mind your robovac potentially not being able to get onto it, I definitely recommend it. ... show more
