  • Pleasantly surprised
Style: B). RED POWER CAGE
I purchased this machine to replace our Titan power rack and our single high/low cable machine. I wasn't sure what to expect with the price but I figured I'd take a chance on it. Everything came in a big sealed box that looked like a pinewood coffin lol. I followed the instructions and it took maybe 4-5 hrs to put together. The instructions arent very detailed and kind of hard to see where some of the bolts go. I had to redo a few of the steps because some parts are specifically left or right and they weren't labeled as such. There are a few things I changed in the set up process that didn't make sense. One thing was it says to run the cables in a certain order. I switched the 2nd and the 3rd one because you have to retighten the 2nd one after the 3rd one to get all the slack out of the cable. Another thing i changed was switching where the spring is on the Smith bar. The way they had it didn't really work very well. The only things I don't like so far are that the main supports are a little thinner gauge of metal than my old rack. The metal will bend if you tighten the bolts too tight. If you use an impact to tighten all the bolts, be careful not to tighten too far. The other thing is that once I got it all together, I tested out the cables and they were kind of sticky and not smooth. I spayed some silicone spray lube on all the metal guides for the weights and the Smith machine and that has helped a lot. I think I'll prolly swap the pulleys for some better ones eventually as well. The back ones seem to stick for the double cables in the middle. Overall though, I'm pleasantly surprised with how well everything works. Hope this review helped ... show more

Style: E). BLACK CAGE WITH 360LB BLACK WEIGHT C...
The instructions were not clear, which maxe setting it up very complicated. The machine is sturdy and very functional, but it requires a lot of lubricant. It is not as smooth and is very noisy. The transitions between exercises is difficult. You really need to plan your workout ahead if you are short on time. Some of the attachments are difficult to set up and take apart. ... show more

  • REAL REVIEW
Style: A). BLACK POWER CAGE
The Good - Its well packaged and parts were labeled nicely - The smith machine is real smooth and the barbell is nice. One of the best features of this whole thing. - it’s cheaper than a lot of multi function racks and it has a middle option to do pull-down and seated pulls so your not hanging off to the outside of the rack like the other systems with just pulley systems on the left&right of the rack. - The cable independent arms on each side is smooth, being able to do wide cross overs is so cool - Small foot print , it doesn’t take up much space in our garage for all that it can do. - fagus H price matches, we bought the rack a few days before the price dropped by $500.. we contacted and asked if they would price match and they did!! The Bad - There is an email on the instruction manual for support — you won’t get a response there. - The jammer arms are just way too heavy, it’s a workout to put them on. - The middle pulley system for the pull downs and seated pulls are loud and rough— would recommend buying aluminum pulleys to replace all the ones supporting the middle pull down and seated pulls (about 20 of them). - The plastic caps come off of the trolley arms whenever you adjust it up and down. FAGUS H you guys need to fix that. - The instructions for the cable portion is terrible— you will need to watch the video on the Amazon listing to figure it out. It’s a good quality rack, certain things about it like the nylon wheeleys for the pulleys and the trolley arms going up and down needs to be improved. My hopes is fagus H expands and provides a weight stack upgrade for their racks and maybe a linear bearing upgrade for their trolley arms. If you read the reviews Fagus H, please provide upgrades to a weight stack option and maybe a linear bearing upgrade for your trolley arms. ... show more

  • You’re not going to find a better deal.
Style: B). RED POWER CAGE
I’ll try to keep this brief as possible. First off my account was charged for the full amount of purchase before the item was even shipped which is not the norm when ordering from Amazon. Shipping was by private carrier who called about 30 minutes ahead of arrival. The driver struggled to unload the large box but finally managed to get it off the truck and placed it inside my garage basement for me. Everything was wrapped and placed inside one large wooden crate. I took my time assembling paying close attention to the very small printed instructions and it took about six hours with a helper to hold things while I installed and tightened the bolts. I have had time to evaluate the machine now and here are my thoughts. 1. The machine is sturdy and very well designed and constructed with heavy gauge materials that don’t feel cheap or flimsy. 2. The pulley system is smooth but i will be upgrading the nylon pulleys to aluminum when they start to wear out. I also don’t think the pulleys are a true 1:1 ratio as the same weight on this machine feels much lighter than on commercial gym machines. My nephew weighs 51 lbs yet he was pulling down over 70lbs on the fly pulleys using his body weight. The plate holders use a black plastic sleeve to ride up and down the stainless steel guides. If you don’t load them perfectly even on both sides it can cause the sleeve to chatter going up and down. I ordered some 25mm linear bearings and mounted them to the underside of the plate holders to help with this. (See photo) 3. The smith machine is smooth and once you get used to the vertical movement it makes working out without a spotter much safer. The bar and bearings weigh approx 44 pounds according to my bathroom scales. 4. The main reason I purchased this machine, rather than others on this site, was the adjustable fly pulleys. They can be moved up and down and swung 180 degrees from inside to outside. So if you are doing pec flys you can move them all the way out and get a much wider stretch than with other machines that cost three times more than this one. Absolutely love these pulleys and use them for hundreds of exercises. The heads also swivel so the angles are endless as to what you can do with these things. 5. I wish they would laser etch some numbers on the holes of the front posts to make setting up equipment easier. 6. In my opinion the jammer arms are heavy, bulky, cumbersome, and take too long between exercises to set up. Many of the things you can do with them can be replicated with the pulleys as well. I would have much rather had weight stacks in place of plate holders in lieu of these attachments. Fagus H if you’re reading these comments, please come out with a weight stack retrofit for this machine. Please, Please, Please Bottom line, this is not a perfect machine but with a few adjustments it would be comparable to a machine that costs thousands more. So it is well worth your money. I have seen great gains since using it because my workouts are more intense now that I don’t have to stand around waiting for a machine at the gym. My workouts are shorter even though I am getting more exercises and reps done. The best part is now my wife and daughter are in the basement working out with me instead of sitting on the couch staring at a phone. Get off the fence and get busy! 💪🏻 ... show more
