This is a convenient product to quickly run around a garden or trees to keep deer or even some domesticated animals at bay. This comes folded and then also rolled up so you get a roll of netting about 12 inches tall. I prefer to just unroll it to the length I'm going to use and then cut it (regular scissors have no trouble with this) and leave the rest rolled up for ease of storage and future use. It is quite easy to work with, extremely lightweight and can be installed by one person without much frustration. In the product photos there is a sort of diagram showing a more reinforced top and bottom edge of the netting and that is not the case with this. The edges appear to have just been cut the same way you would cut the roll to use a portion of it. The photo I've included of the edge is the top edge of the fence the way it arrived- uncut or altered by myself. I used this for a quick fix to deter my chickens from getting into my garden. I had t-posts available that I set as corner posts and ran 20 or 30 feet of this between those then ziptied this to the posts. The fence comes with metal stakes to secure it down to the ground and I wish, for 100 feet of fence length, that there were more of them but they do work well. I didn't need the full 7 feet of height of this fencing so just bunched up the excess height and pinned that all down onto the ground with the stakes to give my chickens a harder time when they try to weasel their way under the fence. Between our sassy chickens and our entitled geese they'll eventually be able to tear holes in this. It does kind of stretch a bit (because of the flexibility and space between the squares) so it will do ok for a time and if you're not wanting a permanent or highly visible fence (you almost don't even see it unless looking for it) in place or are just looking for something you neither have to budget for nor plan a weekend off to install, this is a great option! For the price (just under $14 at the time of this review) it is a good value for the money and can provide a quick and easy fix to your gardening woes. ... show more

Our young fruit trees in our front yard need protection from the local nuisance wildlife, but we needed something that wouldn't be an eyesore. We also wanted something that would not be permanent and easy to take down in the future. This netting material provides our fruit trees with protection, allows the sunlight through, let's the trees breathe, and is not very visible. It checks all the boxes for our needs. The material was easy to cut through and easy to work with. It comes folded up and rolled up, and it's really lightweight, so you do have to be careful not to get a tangled up when you're working with it. My husband tried working with it and putting it up on his own, but found it to be too troublesome and asked me for my help. It's definitely easier with two people. It's flexible and stretchy, but quite thin. I'm not sure yet if the deer and orher wildlife will be able to chew through it. Including the zip ties and the garden stakes was a nice touch. I use this to cover my garden to keep out birds, deer and other critters. It’s easy to cut and secure. It came with ground spikes which is a nice bonus. I haven’t noticed any ripping and it works as you’d expect.

I have a fairly large run that I made for my ducks and I stretched this netting over the top of it in layers. Ill say that it has worked excellently. SO far it has deterred a large owl and a hawk that I have seen with my own eyes trying to get my ducks. Works for them so Im assuming it will work great for an orchard. There is some room for play in the material so you can and probably should stretch it to fit nicely. With enough pulling it will rip though. Its not super strong but it will catch and or bother birds for sure. I mean it has kept a hawk and large owl away from my flock. Im happy with it. 100 feet is also awesome. Picked this up to net around our tomato plant to keep the birds from eating a tomato hornworm caterpillar. Our 18 month old daughter has been quite taken with Chubbles, as we named him, and from prior experiences before she was born the birds would normally find these guys as a meal right around when they get to this size. The netting is wrapped up nicely and it is really nice to have the included zip ties to secure it down. The netting cuts easily with scissors so one can definitely customize the enclosure area.
