  • Fixed issue on my 2004 Acura TL
My HVAC stopped working suddenly for my pretty old/high mileage Acura, with the vents ceasing to blow air at all. But then might work a minute later. Then off again entirely for the duration of a drive. More often than note wouldn't work at all. After following a diagnostic video on Youtube, confirmed fuses and relays were working and so moved on to this resistor. Thankfully an easy part to remove/reinstall with a basic Philips driver, so long as you don't mind awkwardly laying on your side on the floor of the passenger side of the car. But I'd say almost anyone could replace this part so long as you aren't restricted in your mobility The video demonstrated how to use a multimeter to check resistance and didn't appear I was getting the correct reading so figured for the $20 would roll the dice on replacing the resistor. Very happy to find that HVAC immediately started working correctly again, confirming the resistor to be the issue. It is a 20 year old car with 200k miles, the weird bits and pieces are starting to fail. But for $20 I'm very happy to count this as a cheap fix and get a few more miles out of the car! ... show more

  • I was hesitant about buying this item
This part was easy to install and fix my air conditioning issues and has been working fine with no issues. It was considerably less expensive than original Acura part.

  • So far so good.
Bought this resistor for my 2002 RSX Types S because one day my climate control fan got stuck on high even if the fan knob was on off. Didn't take long for that to annoy me so I bought this and it came next day. Installation was not bad at all just a little awkward where the part is located. Original broken resistor came out with 2 philips screws and I unplugged the connector from the back of it. Connected the connector back to the new resistor and screwed this new one on and boom, I had full control of my climate control fan again. Gave it 4 stars because unfortunately I can't speak on longevity just yet but so far so good. 👍🏼 ... show more

  • AC working like new
AC would start to only give small burst of air until eventually giving up. Easy installation that only requires a screwdriver and took only a matter of 10 minutes to replace.

  • Fixed my A/C and avoided paying hundreds of dollars at a shop
My 2005 Acura TL's AC recently started going out at random times, or not turning on at all. Out of nowhere, the AC would just shut off - no heat or cool air- and then turn back on. I first started with changing the fuse in the engine bay: and though it worked for a few drives afterwards, it still went out again. Next i replaced the AC Blower motor, and again - it worked at first and then went out. Lastly, and i wish i would have just started with this, i replaced the Resistor and it solved all my problems! The install is very easy, you just need a philips screw driver, a flashlight, and the ability to lay in an awkward position while you install the part. If you search up "blower motor replacement for '05 Acura", most of the videos show you where the Resistor is as well since they are located in the same area! ... show more
