It is such a simple job to replace a blower motor fan assembly in a Mazda CX-5. It literally took me about 10 minutes. I didn't want to spend the excessive money to purchase an OEM blower motor, so I purchased this one from Amazon. My original blower motor made it nearly 180,000 miles of car usage before it started to have issues. The only complaint I have about this cheaper blower motor is that it is much louder than the OEM version. It is noticeable while driving. For a 10 year old Mazda with nearly 200K miles, I'm not going to complain. I don't want to dump a bunch of money into it, and this fit the bill. ... show more

    • Loud whirring noise
It fits well, turned right on, and blows air as expected. My only complaint with it is that it makes a loud, high pitched whirring noise when turned on. I've removed it and checked that it wasn't just rubbing against anything after install, but the noise is present even when not installed in the vehicle. If it weren't for this noise, I'd give it 5 stars. ... show more

    • It didn't work for me.
I got the item in time as ordered, I ensured that it fit my specifications (2017 Mazda CX-5) and I had it installed by official Mazda techs...the device just wouldn't work in my car for some reason. It was blowing, but not blowing the air out the vents. The technicians installed another blower to verify what the issue was, and it was this blower. Perhaps you may have better luck than me, but I have to give the 1-star rating as I still don't have A/C in my car right now. ... show more

Doesn’t fit correctly, it is loud and starts making Loud noises randomly to where I need to turn it off and back on. Does blow cold now so that a plus. It’s not perfect but it’s better than no air In This hot weather !
