Got these because they were inexpensive and I thought I would try cutting my hair for the first time at home. I don't have anything to compare them to, but they were sharp and I ended up with shorter hair so.....Lol the standard scissors were great. The thinning shears were a little rough when closing at first but I have not yet experimented with the adjustment knob so I'm sure they were just extra tight.
