I picked this up on special before, and I love it so much that I'm grabbing another one (on special) as a backup. When my Clarisonic finally bit the dust, I started searching for an alternative that would be kinder to my older, more sensitive and delicate skin. I had never used a silicone scrub pad for my face before, so I got a little flat manual scrubber to try out first. After deep cleansing with a Clarisonic for so many years, I had no expectation that soft silicone bristles would be effective at all. I don't know about deep pore cleansing, but I was very pleased to discover that silicone scrubbers definitely polish the skin and slough off any dead skin so that your face is very soft afterwards - meaning it is definitely turning over skin cells. Satisfied with those results, I found that I still missed the vibration aspect of my Clarisonic - I just feel like it helps with pore congestion and tones the face and neck a bit. So, after trying a couple different designs, I stumbled on this little Sonic Face Scrubber - it is a keeper! The size of the unit is perfect; the handle is a comfortable size to hold and the cleansing head is the right size for all the angles of the face and neck, and the bristles are not too blunt. I tried one of those other scrubbers that is shaped like the palm of your hand, and found that it was awkward to hold and it was difficult to use on the various angles of my face and the bristles were too rounded at the ends - that one will probably be relegated to the shower for shoulders and chest. I love that this is easily rechargable, so no batteries or loss of power. I have been using it for months and rinse it thoroughly without problem, so it does indeed seem waterproof. My only critical comment would be that there does not seem to be a noticeable difference in the speeds - when I click the + button, I can't discern that the speed has increased. The initial speed works great for me and the price point is reasobable enough that it has never been an issue for me. To aid with deeper pore cleansing, I have sought out some gentle products that have some glycolic acid included in the ingredients - this is very helpful in opening clogged pores to more gentle cleansing methods (really necessary for my T-zone). If you're wanting to try a silicone face scrubber, this is a great starting point! My skin definitely appreciates the gentler touch. ... show more

I bought this as a replacement for my PMD facial cleaner which retails for over 100$ that I unfortunately left at a hotel. But what a happy accident! This device is a fraction of the cost and works better! And it's not battery operated like the more expensive device, it has a reusable charger! It's bristles are longer which makes a better rich lather when you use it and cleans better. I love this! I just hope now that I get longevity out of it since I had my PMD device for years, if I get a few years out of this cheaper device it's 100% a better buy! The silicone bristles on this are very good for older skin. I'm 52, and I want to keep my oily skin in good shape. But as I get older, I find my skin is still oily but is now also getting more sensitive. This one has soft silicone bristles and my skin feels fresh and exfoliated but not roughed up. LOVE that its rechargable and that you dont have to keep replacing the brush head, so less garbage. Would have given 5 stars but took one off for that fact that you aren't supposed to keep it in the shower, but I guess it is as waterproof as it can be. Let’s make this clear: I’m a 27 year-old guy with 120% oily skin. I could wash my face with my fingertips using my body bar, and it’s already oily an hour later. This sonic cleansing brush is really effective. I honestly didn’t think silicone bristles would do anything at all, but the fact is that you barely feel them yet they’re doing so much work. My face was dotted with little blackheads: on my cheeks, my nose, and my chin was like a oil collection site always breaking out! I purchased this brush with some simple starter products: NIVEA men’s face wash and NIVEA men’s oil control Anti-UV face cream. On the first day of use, my face was red because it had taken off so much dead skin that I had no idea I even had. Half of my pores were blank. My nose cleared up immediately. My face felt massaged and somehow ‘cooler’. An absolutely astonishing result! After a week of use, my face has almost completely cleared up, I am now going to start using this product every other day rather than daily and treat it as a maintenance item. The battery has lasted me the entire week, and the included cable goes perfectly with the 5 watt charger that comes with apple phones (who uses those anyway? Too slow for phones!). The heating feature is pretty cool, although, it only gets warm. Not so much otherwise, it’s more of a comfort feature than a tool. The five speeds of the sonic brush are cool! Although, I leave it on high. It’s most effective that way. If you have sensitive skin, maybe lowering the speed is better. They claim this product is ‘waterproof’.. indeed it is. However, after seeing some reviews of people having their products stop working while sticking it in water.. I don’t do it. A quick rinse is fine, but I try to keep it out of the water. At least the side where it plugs in! I gave it 5 stars because the product hasn’t failed and did it’s job, while lasting me the entire week without a charge! I hate buying batteries, and this is the best option at 30 bucks vs others you have to buy batteries for! ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price tag. I waited until it was on sale because I have already been through a few facial brushes. This one is BY FAR the best. I don’t normally leave reviews but this is amazing. I used it for the first time and my skin felt SOOO soft! It also cleanses my skin extremely well and helps my dry skin stay moisturized.
