Wanted to buy a baby book/album for my newborn son, but most were $30 and up. This one is simple and easy to slide 4x6 photos in. Each photo also has a memo space next to it to put the date or whatever caption you'd like. Satisfied with the look and the price. I needed three albums to fill with photos to give as a gift, and after I tried using this albums, I decided I'm going to use different albums. I own two Pioneer 100-photo albums (made in 2021 and Made in China) that I purchased from CVS Pharmacy, and they are actually good, but they are also built different than these three Pioneer 200-Photo Albums (made in 2022 and Made in China). These three Pioneer 200-Photo Albums are not good. 1) WARPED PAGES: The paper pages aren't completely flat, as if the plastic stretched out over each page is too tight, causing the pages to warp and be uneven. This will make the photos warped and uneven over time. 2) HARD TO SLIDE PHOTOS IN: The plastic sheets don't extend beyond the page. The plastic on each page ends on that page at the edge, and it's held down by a bunch of small dots of glue. The photos are hard to slide in. They have to be wiggled in, and sometimes that causes the plastic to start ripping off since it's only held down by glue/adhesive. In my Pioneer 100-Photo album, the plastic extends beyond the page and it's a single piece of plastic that covers both sides, and held together beyond the edges of the page. But in this 200-Photo album, each page has it's own sheet of plastic that can easily rip off from the glue dots. It happened on about 25 of the pages as I tried to wiggle photos into place. The adhesive isn't going to last at all. 3) STRONG ODOR: A strong chemical smell, either from the plastic, the paper, or the ink. It's a really strong smell. I've had the albums out of the outer plastic for a week and they still smell. 4) DETAILS: The dimensions of the book are 9-1/4" Width and 9-3/4" Height x 2" Depth at the spine. The hard fabric cover is nice and the plastic cover is okay. It's just bad design inside. LABEL: Made in China, Style No. DA-200CBF/SB, Made in 2022. Cloth Window Album. **I cannot recommend these. Buy different albums. *My Pioneer 100-Photo Album that I like has Style No. DA-100CBF, Made in China, Made in 2021. Cloth Window Album. ... show more

I was so excited to make a scrap book of a vacation I went on with my partner. Got this book and was so happy with how it felt, the set up of how the photos were to be displayed and especially the little window on the front. And then I started writing in it…. It transfers over to the other page no matter how long you wait, if you dab it with a napkin, whether you use ballpoint or gel pen… you can’t win with this book. You could maybe try your luck with a sharpie marker; that’s the only thing I haven’t tried but if you want to buy this book, be careful about the ink transfer. So disappointed. ... show more

I really like this notebook. I celebrated my 90th birthday at Kitty's with many of my friends attending. We had a great time. In the notebook I have pictures from the evening, cards from friends and names of those that attended.

I don't actually store photos in this -- I use it for 4x6 note cards. Specifically, I keep a stack by my desk to sketch on while I do my homework, and file them away in this photo album. Otherwise bits of paper with doodles and figure drawings get everywhere. Point being, though, I can't really speak to the potential for photo discoloration, and I don't know and frankly don't care whether the paper is actually archival quality. That said, I really like this album. It's cheap, durable, and a good size to store in my desk, the color looks great, and my sketches are easy to insert and don't fall out or anything. The paper and covers feel nice. It's not like the expensive leatherbound archival photo albums my mom uses, but it's nice for my cheapskate student needs. At two sketches per page, I fill this up fast enough that it feels satisfying, but there's still a lot of room left. There's a small section of page with printed lines by each photo slot where you can write labels. If you shuffle your photos around a lot, you might not like this, since it does take up some space. There's also no window on the spine to label the album, and it's hard to find sticky labels that will actually stick to the fabric, so if you desperately want to label your photo albums on the spine I would look elsewhere. When this album arrived, it had a distinctive glue-ish odor. I set it on a shelf for a day or so before putting anything in, and the smell hadn't totally dissipated by then, but... close. Now that it's been lying around in my house for a few months I can't smell it at all. ... show more
