This is a great light that does exactly what they say it will! I have always wanted and needed a light over the sink in our mudroom. It's a small room with no windows but with a big sink for cleanup. It has an overhead light, which is bright, but it's not the same as having a light directly over your sink. There is a wood storage shelf above the sink, so I attached this light to the bottom of that shelf. Perfect adhesion, and it is very firmly stuck. It uses a magnetic strip that is sticky on one side and magnetized to hold the light on the other side, so I can easily pull the light off to charge it. Now not only do I have a light over the sink, but in the day mode, it comes on when I enter the room and stays on as long as I'm moving, then turns off when I leave. What a nice and convenient addition! The pictures show the sink area with the overhead light off and with the overhead light on. I can put the lights on 3 different color temps and brighten and dim each one. What a winner! If you have some of these areas that really need some additional lighting help, this is definitely your solution. From a fully charged battery in the always-on mode light continued for 108 hours in the minimum brightness setting. Very impressive compared to other under counter lights I have. The trade off for this big battery is weight, tipping the scales at nearly 8-ounces. This is about double the weight of a typical 9" or 10" under counter light. Additionally, there is no built-in magnet, instead relying on 3M tape on one side and magnetic surface on the other side. As other reviewers have mentioned, adhesion might not be the best. I will use this light as an "up light" resting on its back with the adjustable motion sensor rotated to its side to trigger the light in the automatic mode. In that position it excels. ... show more

We have a woefully undersized panty closet, which seems even smaller than it really is (if that's even possible) by the fact that there is no light in there, and it tends to be very dark and dim. I can't do anything about the size of the pantry, but I saw this light and realized that I could do something about the lack of illumination. I stickied this thing to the inside of the top of the door frame, and yea (to continue the motif from the title), it giveth light unto all that are in the house (or, at least, anyone standing in the doorway of the pantry). There's a lot to like about this thing. The motion sensing is just right, and the light turns on as soon as the door is opened, and stays on as long as you are fussing around in there. If I stay real still, then I notice it turns off after about 20 seconds or so. The sticky strip appears to have adhered well to the semi-gloss paint on the door frame, and the light is removable from the magnetic mounting strip, which will allow me to recharge the light when it finally does run out of battery. My experience with other lights like this, however, indicates that it might run for a year or more before that happens. So, I'm a happy camper. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • A lot of features, brightness and battery makes for a great sensor light

I was looking for a good kitchen cabinet light because my sink area is a bit dark. In terms of motion lights, this is a big light. If your cabinet has a lower lip, the lamp will be obscured, but otherwise it might be noticeable. I really like that the sensor shifts – I can point it down so it turns on when I reach for the faucet handles, rather than point it outward and have it turn on any time someone walks by the sink. That was a big feature for me. Ultimately, though, I decided to use a smaller motion lamp over the sink and put this one to use in a dark under-cabinet area elsewhere in the kitchen. This light shines brighter than the other lamp and it has a much bigger battery capacity. I love that it charges via USB-C, too. I also like that it has options for both daylight and nighttime motion sensing, which is very handy. In addition, being able to change the color temperature is fantastic! Installation of the magnetic strip was a snap. I do wish they made one of these lamps that was water-resistant so it could be used in sink areas without worry. Overall, I'm pleased with the light. It even works while charging, which is great should you choose to leave it plugged into a power source. ... show more

This light is exactly what I was looking for to put up under a microwave that the light broke on. I haven't been up to my trailer to put this in yet, so I can't say how it's going to adhere under there, but the 3M strip is long and I'm sure it will work great! This light is pretty light-weight so shouldn't be a problem. I love that it has 3 different light settings, but that's not really necessary. I also like the different modes, and that it will detect motion and you can angle that motion sensor however you need to. It seems to pick up motion really well. I plan to use the night modem up at my trailer so it will only come on at night if someone walks by, and that will be perfect. The rechargeable part is great too, and since it's a magnet that you're adhering up underneath, it will be super easy to pull down from anywhere to charge. You don't have to put it by a plug. Only having it come on with night motion means it will probably hold a charge for a super long time, too. Overall, I'm very happy with this product, and definitely recommend it! ... show more
