  • 5.0 out of 5 stars You Never Know...
When you wake up one morning and think..I shall go snorkeling today! (well, not really) What I do like is the full face feature because when I snorkeled in the Caribbean in the past, it was wonderful and beautiful with all the schools of fish...but the face mask obscured my view as well as crushing my face the deeper I got. This full face model I think provides a much more immersive visual experience and I look forward to trying it it soon....other than experimenting with it at the local swimming pool. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Takes Getting Used To
Size: Large-X-Large Color: Black Dark Green
I've seen professional SCUBA divers using these, so when they became available, I was curious to try one. To back up a little, I'm not a diver, but I have a use for a good mask -- the bottom of my above ground pool has a pin hole. It's lost three feet of water in the past six months! When the weather warms up, I'll be doing some bottom searching. It's like finding a gnat on the surface of the moon. Slow and methodical is the only way to go. The Ezire 2023 Full Face Snorkel Mask features a 180 degree panoramic view with anti-fog, anti-leak design and an adjustable strap. This one is the Large/X-Large size in Black/Dark Green colors. The double-float ball design of the snorkel prevents water from entering the mask by utilizing gravity and buoyancy, ensuring diver safety. It features a breathing tube that remains dry, allowing for inhaling only, and doubles the amount of oxygen that can be breathed compared to other snorkel masks. Additionally, the mask includes four upgraded breathing vents in the air chamber for improved breath and two side exhale vents that eliminate carbon dioxide, reduces dizziness, and prevents bubbles from obstructing the view. Actually, the only discomfort I found was getting used to the loud sound of exhaled air out the side vents. With a traditional snorkel, you exhale quietly in and out of the tube. This particular design inhales through the tube and exhales loudly out the side of the mask close to your ears. However, ear plugs would mitigate most of that. I think once I'm used to the noise of iit, I'll be able to use this mask effortlessly. With its snug fit and transparent flat lenses providing a 180° panoramic view, the mask offers clear underwater views without distortion, dizziness, or discomfort. I would not say it is suitable for all ages, one needs to have developed swimming skills. But as a bonus, this mask includes removable motion camera brackets for capturing and sharing snorkeling experiences. The high-quality silicone construction of the mask ensures a professional anti-fog and anti-leak design, with the interior layer isolating inhaled air and reducing condensation on the mask surface. The snorkeling gear comes in two sizes (S/M and L/XL) for a proper fit, with a sizing chart provided for selecting the right size based on the distance from the nose bridge to the chin. It is recommended to test for the best seal before using. All in all, from what I've seen so far, this is a good alternative to traditional gear, especially for ducking beneath the surface. The double floatation design seals the snorkel from water intrusion. It's worth trying. If you don't like the design, Amazon has an excellent return policy. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Quality Mask, but not for me.
As you can see by the pictures, this mask is made very well, from high quality materials. I did notice a faint smell of plastic when I first unwrapped the mask, but after a few hours of sitting out in my office, it was much less obvious. It was still faint when trying on the mask, but bearable, and I'm pretty sensitive to such smells. The reason this mask isn't for me, is for a couple of reasons. First, I'm used to having the mask and snorkel being separate items, and that I can breath in my mouth and then blow out my nose to clear my mask if it leaks or to defog it with water while swimming. Such a feat is just not possible with a mask like this. If this mask leaks, or starts to fog up, you need to pop your whole head out of the water and then take it off and then put it back on. Very troublesome for my snorkeling style. Maybe my mask fogs up more than others, but it's an issue for me. I also didn't like that there is no way to clear the mask if it has a slow leak, because you adjusted it wrong or swam to fast. The only way to fully clear it, at least by my test, is to surface, take the mask off, dump it, and then put it back on. Not something you'd want to do very often. I also had a tendency to look up and this puts the snorkel into the water, due to the angle. This old dog can't learn the new tricks fast enough to feel safe using this mask, so I'm going to take away a star. Others may find it is easy to learn the new skills necessary to use this mask effectively. Four Star Unicorn Style All-in-one Mask and Snorkel. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Pools and short durations - comfortable
Pools and other short durations is all I recommend. When I go snorkeling, I like to be alert to my surroundings. If you look straight down or down and slightly back, the air is cut off. You need to be looking ahead, or up and ahead with these.. This is a nice idea, and pretty well executed, but needs some tweaking to be safe for open ocean swimming. Great for pools. I live in Florida and swimming in the springs you need to watch all directions for gators, snakes, and of course you want to see the lovely manatee if they are around. In the ocean, you want to be able to see everything around you, which you can with how well designed the window is, but prepare to have to hold your breath if you aren't looking at least slightly ahead. We ordered this one and another in the other size to give a good comparison between the 2. Both leak when you dive. I think the large is more comfortable for breathing, but the small fits my face better. The only difference between the 2 sizes is the silicone moulding around the face. Adults should default to large if you are unsure. Measure from the edge of the bottom or your chin, to the bridge of your nose, where sunglasses sit. Not the brow, not the hairline. If you suffer from asthma, I'd recommend the kind that has assistive breathing and you charge magnetically. These are a little rough as they leave some exhaled air inside the mask that you re-inhale as you take each breath. The straps are amazingly comfortable. Doesn't catch or rip your hair, and stays firmly in place even when diving. It hurts my nose, both sizes. When I breathe, air moves near my eyes and dries them out. Hold your breath when putting on mask to prevent fogging the lens. Doesn't fog underwater. Overall, I recommend these for those casual snorkelers that are with a group for safety, and those that use them in a pool. I wouldn't use these for extended periods of time, but great in short-term uses. ... show more
