  • Solid product
Color: Clear
This product was pretty great. One of the paddles encountered some “play” and wouldn’t click—reached out to the company and they said they would send me replacements. Considering it’s plastic I’m hardly upset after a year of heavy use.

  • I really love these, once you use paddles there is no going without them
Color: Clear
I bought the four button version and absolutely loved it, since I have second controller figured would try the two button version on it so could say which I liked better to help people decide. The two button version does seem to “fit” better as to where you rest fingers on back of controller on four button model takes time to get used to not accidentally hitting the inner button but after playing for little while its not an issue. I added small piece of foam under paddles to add a little more resistance to accidental presses but that is not really a necessity just a personal preference. The installation is really simple for anyone with basic skills and steady hands. No soldering is needed if don’t want to map touch pad and stick clicks but honestly its just 4 solder points total that could be done with the cheapest wood burner soldering iron made and is really worth it in my opinion a lot of games have a sense type skill that you click analog stick to see what around you or your mission in those games i find i constantly am clicking stick to find resources ect. Having that mapped to a paddle is really one of my favorite uses for paddle. Also i always map the button for pickup items, harvest items, open doors, interact to the other paddle makes it so don't have to take thumbs of analog sticks to do those actions.Watch the installation video from start to finish before you start working, then watch it as you work pausing and rewatching as needed and you will been good. My total install time was one hour twenty minutes for first one and a hour for second one, take your time and be gentle with ribbon cables (i feel ribbon cables suck in general not any specific issues).Only downside at all is you cannot use the official Sony charging stand because controller with paddles will not fit, I modded my to make it work for now but would be great if someone could make a 3d printable part to swap in i would buy it. I would say having bought both version they are both great and only deciding factor is do you want to remap four buttons or two otherwise no difference. ... show more

  • Good until they’re not.
Color: Black
I’ve seen a couple reviews of these paddles saying they’re great or they’re bad and some that say they have stopped working. I bought these paddles At the beginning of last month and was excited to add them to my PS5 controller. I will warn you ahead of time, there’s no instructions. You need to watch a frustrating video on YouTube to even learn how to install them. I’m usually good at this type of thing but I’ll admit the video frustrated and confused me to no end. It took way longer than anticipated to get them installed but once I did they worked great! For awhile.. For the initial week or two they worked without many issue at all. They weren’t the most comfortable, being plastic and in a sort of awkward position if you haven’t used paddles before, but they got the job done and easily. For the time when they worked properly it was a no brainer easy $40 purchase. Even with the difficulty of installing them, I try to not rate produces purely based off getting them up and running. The issue comes about two or three weeks in. I notice delays in response times, sometimes they just blatantly don’t work. I figured at first something might have been wrong with the wiring or something inside so I went back and retraced my steps checking everything to make sure it was okay. It was. I actually had came across it by chance, but I believe the issue for many people (and myself) was the fact that the paddles themselves snap and break fairly easy. Inside there’s a mechanism where the paddle holds a metal bar and that is used to detect the movement / button press when connecting with the chip. Around where that metal bar is (on both paddles mind you) the holster was found cracked and snapped. Not completely broke off but just enough to make the button pressed of the paddle not recognized. Any sort of leniency makes detecting the motion harder (think if the switch in your keyboard was broken, it wouldn’t matter how hard you pressed down, or if you changed the wiring. The key itself is snapped.) The kit only provides you with one actual set of paddles meaning once those two are snapped you have to either purchase them again or make due. Unfortunately I was not in the business of gluing or trying to repair cracked plastic. Ultimately this was just my experience and it could be different for others. Hell, I could be completely wrong. But from my experience I’d say if you’re using them more casually then by all means it’s a great kit, treat it right and you’ll be fine. But if you’re more intensive and using them for quick paced fps games and know you’ll be putting them to use pass on this. Mine didn’t last a month, and I work full time. I’ve seen others not last two weeks. If you plan on using them intensely then make sure you ease up on them, they’ll snap easy and you’ll be out of luck. (When I fully commit to taking the entire thing off I’ll try to add some pictures of where it was snapped so you guys get a better idea of what to look out for!) ... show more

  • Works well while it works, but I wish there was an official alternative.
Color: Textured White
I previously installed the PS4 version of this on my last console, and decided to do the same for my DualSense PS5 controller when I found out they wouldn't be offering an official attachment any time soon. Installation is easy enough, just take your time and rewatch the videos on YouTube if you need to. Once installed, it works great, and the paddles are placed well and clicky enough for you to know your action registered. However, one of my paddles recently broke from the attached piece, and there's no way for me to fix it myself. I guess 6 months of use for this price isn't the worst, but I'd hoped for higher quality. Update: Changed original 2-star review to 4-star. They provided me a new kit no questions asked, which is great support. I expect this one to last longer, and it's always risky installing these in expensive controllers which isn't great, but overall they appear to stand by their products. ... show more
