  • Easy if you’re good with your hands
Size: RISE RMB Version BDM-030 Color: G3 Textured Black
Make sure you’re getting the right kit. It shows in the pictures of what type of motherboard you have so there shouldn’t be a reason you buy the wrong kit. I recommend watching the YouTube video all the way through before trying to do the install right away. I have a few of the older kits and I made the mistake taking out both of the wires when you don’t need to do that anymore with this one. 10/10 cheaper then the Sony pro controller. ... show more

  • Wasn’t too difficult, works great.

Took me 15-20 minutes to install with some minor hiccups (user error). It works fantastic and I’d definitely buy it again.

  • Awesome Kit to add Back Buttons to Dualsense controller for PS%
Size: RISE RMB Version BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: G2 Rubberized Black
I was put off by the $200 price for the DualSense edge, but wanted back buttons as I’ve gotten super used to using them on Xbox games with my Elite controller. I read about Extremerate kits to add back buttons to the Dualsense and decided to give them a go and I’m glad I did. The install wasn’t bad. I skipped the soldering set as that’s only needed if you want to map L3/R3 or the touch pad click to the back buttons. I don’t as I just map the face buttons to those so I can keep my thumbs on the analog sticks as much as possible. It took me about an hour to do the install with being very slow and careful and watching and rewinding the installation YouTube guide as I went. It’s just a matter of prying open the controller with the included plastic pry tool, removing some screws and unhooking some cable ribbons (and replacing some of them with new ones included in the Kit). Just takes patience and going slow and careful. The soldering parts in the video looked super easy to do too—if I had a solder gun I’d have gone ahead and done them (just didn’t want to buy one for a one time use). The buttons work great and are easy to program. Just hold the button on the attachment down until the LED on it flashes, then press and hold the back button and the button you want to map to it for a few seconds. Repeat for the other back button and then hold the button on the attachment again until the LED goes off and your set. The metal paddles feel great to click, and my only nitpick is the click is a little on the loud side. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and having back buttons in my PS5 games now. ... show more

  • Does what it’s supposed to!
Size: RISE RMB Version BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: G2 White
Had the slide/jump bottons mapped to the paddles for cod and works great! now i can slide and jump w/o taking my thumbs off the sticks. makes moving around waay easier. went with the metal paddles as i read a bunch of reviews on the plastic ones saying they broke easy. Also had somebody solder it for me so can’t speak on the difficulty of that. My only gripes are the white color doesn’t match the ps5 controllers white it’s slightly grey while this is a pure white. Not a big deal but an exact color match would be nice. Also the back of the ps5s stock controller is slightly textured so a little more grippy & this has more of a smooth texture like the front of the controller. I know they make ones with rubber grips but they aren’t as easy on the eyes as w/o them. But yea if u don’t want to drop $200 on a scuf controller and want a more stock look this is the way to go! Edit: One more thing i forgot to add is i have bigger hands and the way my paddle fingers rests the top knuckle hits where the bottom corners of the metal box holding the paddles is and it’ll leave a noticeable mark/kinda digs in where they touch it. Can be fixed if i consciously think about it but if not it can get a little uncomfortable. So yea not as comfortable as if it wasn’t there but i guess that’s the price for being able to slide & jump w/o taking thumbs of the sticks and way more comfortable than playing claw lol ... show more

  • SOLDERING REQUIRED. OTHERWISE CAN'T USE L3 AND R3
Size: RISE RMB Version BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: G2 Rubberized White
I'm giving minimum stars because the description purposely misleads people to believe no soldering is required. When i go and get my iron and complete this job, i MIGHT think about changing rating. Very frustrating. Should include "soldering required" in the item description. UPDATE: After purchasing a cheap soldering iron off Amazon, I was able to complete the job. Only a few solders required, still needs to be written in the description. Paddles work well so far after a week. The rubberized grip is nice as well. ... show more

  • Best mod for the DualSense
Size: RISE RMB Version BDM-010 BDM-020 Color: G2 Black
A must have mod for anyone who enjoys shooters. I went the full route and did the soldering instructions because I only wanted to program my L3 and R3 buttons for running and sliding in certain games and the directions provided made it absolutely easy. While I do have a lot of experience with opening electronics and repairing/modding them I feel that the way everything is laid out for you makes this easy enough that even a novice could successfully install this. The buttons and the case-back are top notch quality that you would expect from eXtremeRate per usual and the addition of using metal not only makes the triggers much more durable, it also gives them an extremely premium and solid feel. The kit does add a considerable amount of weight but after using it for a few days you slowly get used to it. Only issue I ran in to with this kit was the triggers have a jiggle to them which annoyed me to no end, especially when the vibrations started because the jiggle would then turn in to a loud buzzing noise. The solution I found for this (thanks to a rep from eXtremeRate on the subreddit) was to place a single layer of tape underneath where the inside of the trigger rests inside the housing beneath the circuit board. I used black electrical tape (and you cannot even see the tape at all once everything is closed up so color doesn’t matter) and immediately resolved the issue. Now the paddles are very solid, have zero “play” in their movement, and do not rattle when the controller vibrates. Heads up to anyone buying this mod who uses a charging station that docks the controller right side up; your controller will not fit in that dock anymore. I found an “upside down” charging station that comes with a usb insert for the top of the controller and it works beautifully. ... show more
