In fact, the 1st one outlived the PS5 controller itself which broke b/c the 2 joysticks broke and then I broke the controller trying to replace them lol. Installation is straight forward and not complicated. Just watch a video. Don't worry about breaking the controller doing it, it's fairly resilient. Assembly: I'll preface by saying I do have professional soldering experience. This mod is not for the faint of heart. Although the instructions are very easy to follow, the actual process can get quite fiddly. Function: I am very happy with how this mod performs. Very easy operation, placement of the buttons, and usability. Drawback: the only thing that isn't good about the mod is that it now obstructs my use of a cradle charger. I expected this as an even trade off but if you don't know it's a bit of a let down. Overall: very worth the money and effort to install. ... show more

Purchase your controller first and double check the style. Had to swap one out because I didn’t. Plus - if you aren’t replacing the buttons, and are fully customizing the controller, the PS buttons are colored according to the controller. I had to get a camo controller to get black buttons. Soldering was pretty simple. Just need a dot on a 4 connections. Had to take it apart once, and get a better connection on the chip/strip that leads to the extra buttons. It works amazing! you only need a minimum of welding knowledge, which you can see on youtube and that's it! the installation is super easy excellent economic option to the scuff. It has a little detail in comfort but it is a matter of habit, I am used to using the ps4 control with the back button accessory, but after a few games it gets used to it. the buttons on the back should perhaps be a little firmer and longer for the position of the hands and that it could be possible to remove the buttons to be able to charge it in the sony base would be great, since if you want to charge it in that base it will not be option. Also that the button paddles could be interchangeable. They are just a few observations, overall I give it a 9.5/10 ... show more

The paddles get loose and eventually stop working due to the part that holds the rod in place for the paddle snapping eventually. I am replacing this for the second time in 6 months the first one i had broke in a month this one lasted longer, still is way more convenient than a scuf, less cost and much faster to replace than waiting on scuf to take 4 months on a repair ... show more

I was so glad to see a mod kit for the Dualsense finally come out. Back paddles are super useful for most games. I followed a YouTube video and easily took the controller apart, installed this new backplate and assembled again. I think I took my time and spent a half hour or so. I love my controller now. My only complaint is that the controller no longer fit on my charging station. I cut out some pieces out of the station with a saw and it now works again. I couldn't be happier. ... show more

Installed this on my ps5 controller to meet my needs. When you recieve this you recieve numerous components and this one is not simply plug and play. You do have to replace two ribbon cables to make the unit replicate the 4 triggers and the x, square, triangle, and circle. If you also want the TouchPad or the L3-R3 then you will also need to go a little farther including light soldering. I didn't need that functionality so I skipped that step. I recommend watching the tutorial on YouTube while installing. Product functions as expected after a week or so of regular gaming.
