Very nice pipe. It smokes very smooth, nice easy draw. Easy disassembly. Nice flavor. If you take the bowl off (just gently pull it from the shaft) and remove the metal limiter from the black tube, it works excellent. Especially for herb. Yes, that herb. I found the beads and feathers to be gaudy and a bit silly, especially being Native American myself, but the pipe itself is beautiful. I just removed them. Those complaining they can’t use it for herb because it clogs, and that it gives too big of a hit just haven’t removed the limiter and don’t know how to smoke from a pipe. Slow, easy, puffing hits. Not slurping it down like a straw in a glass of lemonade. Slow it down, take it easy! Relax! It seems well made, the only foreseeable problem I have is the bowl becoming loose where it connects to the shaft. It simply slides on, rather than snaps or screws into place. This beautiful work of art pipe created the smoothest smoke I have ever had. Because the pipe, it's so long it doesn't burn the back of your throat or make it feel uncomfortable. No more chocking either. It's really is just like very soothing. Is the best pipe I have ever had. I did change the beads to better quality. Beads, because I wanted beads that were turquoise and made out of like bone, so that it looked like a real Indian pipe and I added extra feathers that were like spotted and had different like little colors mixed in. I'm so happy with how that came out. But yeah, I actually replaced their beads with my own, more better quality beads and feathers and it looks amazing. ... show more

Super fun. I took off a star because the stem is chipping after two days. It is a resin like wood mass production not hand carved as the one shown in photo advertising. It is the exact same as every customer reviews with photos. Great novelty. I use mine in my front room chill space. Because of the length and weight of the pipe and bowl I had to make a display, I had an acrylic hand and and a little photo frame that I turned upside down to display the pipe. You can tighten the feathers n beads up but it is with a little zip tie. Im going to add some feathers to mine . For the price it's great! Quality and durability is very inexpensive but I would gift one. If smoking cannabis cannabis other reviewers recommended putting a screen in and removing the piece inside stem ...I would recommend that as well and maybe getting a pipe cleaning kit with the wire because the stem is very long ... show more

I've had about a dozen different pipes over the years, and this is the one that has come to be my absolute favorite. It's beautifully made and very well engineered for a long-stem pipe. The bowl is shaped to provide an even and consistent burn for a long smoke without having to pack the tobacco too tightly, the permanent filter on the bowl stem end prevents tar from building up in the stem, and the disposable filter recess at the smoking tip end allows for a very clean dual-filtered smoke without hindering the draw one bit. I was hesitant at first to bother with such a long stem Gandalf-style pipe because I thought the cleaning would be a pain, but I couldn't be more pleased with this guy. I've had pipes that cost 2 or 3x what this one does and none of them were half as good. Great value and great pipe. ... show more

I had never used a wooden pipe before, Actually I had bought the small ceramic or glass kind but they always wind up broken. I got it as a peace pipe and when I used it for the first time I thought the tabaco entry mouth was too big and I do not smoke that much. So I bought the 3/4 hole wide screen filter cups and they were perfect, the best experience ever. I don’t think I would ever use anything else. Lets start with best flavor and relaxing moment. This pipe works extremely well, but be warned that it's very long. If you wanna feel like Gandalf, this is the way to go! I'm 6'6 and find this comfortable but a person with short arms might have a little trouble. Overall I'd highly recommend it and it works great!
