    Pump lasted about a month and a half. Put in on a 49 ford that I drove maybe three or four times in that month and it quit working. Can’t seem to find a pump to last any length of time.

    The pump is heavy and is comparable to much more expensive units, perhaps a little cheaper on the build quality though. I'm using this on an auxiliary tank to pump gas into the main taink on long trips. It seems to work well so far and I'm happy with it. Time will tell if it will last as long as a name brand, but it fits my needs. ... show more

      • What a Beast!
    Why did I title it ‘What a Beast?’ Simple. When I opened the box the first thing that struck me was the weight of the pump. It was extremely heavy for its size which can only mean that it contains a lot of wound copper and magnetized ferrous metal. This equates to a powerful pump in a reasonably small package. This is not your el cheapo generic no-name brand pump. It is beefy. I could not find the amperage draw on this but you had better wire in a fuel pump relay capable of handling 40 amps. Use 12awg wire at a minimum. The input end is marked M18x1.5 (ORB) threads, they do supply an adapter (+ ORB washer) to neck it down to a standard -AN8 Male fitting. The output end is marked as having M12x1.5 (ORB) threads and has an -AN8 Male fitting already installed. I cannot be certain if the correct ORB end is already installed but you can bet I will find out the instant I turn it on. Perhaps I should look first? Although it does have a non-cleanable fuel filter installed on the input end, the company does warn you that your warranty is null and void if you do not install a brand new filter before the input. Now for the instruction sheet; most instruction sheets are terrible translations from Chinese to English, this one is actually fairly legible. It is professionally translated into 8 different languages if you happen to be a polyglot. The specifications given are 340 liters per hour at 40psi and 300 liters per Hour at 75psi. What does that mean for our non-metric brethren? Well, rounded out, 300 LPH equals 80 Gallons Per Hour or 1.32 Gallons Per Minute. Again, rounded out, 340 LPH equals 90 Gallons Per Hour or 1 ½ Gallons Per Minute. If any of this helps you, please smash that like button! I most highly recommend this fuel pump! ... show more

    I have not had the opportunity to really test the pump. I have connected it and found that evidently the chinese do not know that in america, red means power or hot wire. I am an electrician and it took me awhile to realie the reason the pump would not pump gas was it was running backwards. On this pump the blue connection is power and red is ground. I will rate the pump once i use it under real load UPDATE: After installing and trying to use this pump I found that it will not produce more than 30# of fuel pressure. The description says it will produce up to 75 #, that is false. I need at least 40 # to operate my boat. This is not a good pump. Buy american and get what you pay for. ... show more

      • Good throw down fuel pump. Fittings are less than spectacular though
    I needed a good cheap external fuel pump to use on my C4 Corvette before I spent a lot of money on a name brand. This fit the bill and already came with AN fittings. The pump came with metric thread adapters already installed, and metric to AN fittings in the kit The crush washer between the pump and already installed thread adapter was leaking, I had to pull it and install a new crush washer.
