My cat needed to travel with me and hates being in the car. I got her this so I could carry her with me on the road without bothering others or hurting my back. She immediately loved it and I left it out for her for a month before we had to leave for her to get used to it. While she is firmly an indoor cat, she occassionally wants to just see what is outside and then run back in. So whenever she showed this interest, I put her in the backpack and took her out, then gave her a treat when we came back in. I was still really nervous that once we did our first leg of the trip in the car, she would never want to get in again. Instead she was pretty calm and slept most of the way instead of crying. She still wasn't thrilled the first day, but when I started packing up to leave in the morning, she crawled in on her own accord. And she seems unfazed by riding on my back now. I'm honestly shocked, as she is normally very scared in public. I'm so glad I bought this from this seller. I saw copy cat products on Amazon with poor reviews. Too small for a cat heavier than approx 12 lbs. My cats love it. It does get too hot in the sun, though. Must be vigilant to check on the cat every 5-7 mins in the summer because of over heating

The media could not be loaded. If I could give more stars I would. I very rarely rate products, but this one has to get some attention. Bernard P Fife LOVES his backpack soooo much he sleeps in it when we’re at home. Can’t find Bernard, look in his backpack. I purchased the fully expandable version. This pack is extremely comfortable to wear. Currently Bernard weighs 4 pounds, so time will tell as he gets bigger if that holds true. If you get this pack, be ready for compliments galore. I do highly suggest, if you purchase the pack, get the fan along with it. I did not do that originally. We went on a little getaway and some of the tourist shops we went into were a little stuffy. Bernard did get hot as the pack is essentially like a little greenhouse. I bought the fan and problem solved. Bought this for my 3-month-old kitten and he loves it, It took a while for him to get used to it but after the first time taking him out he was ready for another trip, I even left it out around the house with the side door open and he enjoys going inside to play of sleep. Since I bought a carrying purse, my son said he want this bubble backpack. Geesh My furbaby is so spoiled! My 2lb teacup Yorkie fits perfect in it, I also ordered a portable fan separately. Plus this bubble backpack is a show stopper everywhere we go!
