The hex shank is permanently welded to the drill bit. So you can easily reverse the drill bit if stuck into wood. Made of high carbon steel. It has the ability to withstand intense force for a long period of time because of its impact resistance and wear-resistence quality. When splitting wood, start from the side edge to avoid the drill bits getting stuck into the wood. Do not start from the middle of the wood. Suitable for splitting small diameter wood. Not recommended for knotty woods or large diameter woods. We recommend using electric (power) drills to split the logs effectively.
