This desk is a little bit of a pain to put together but once together this desk is sturdy big enough and the drawers for storage are great. The mechanism works well raising and lowering. I was looking for a standing desk and needed to stay under $500. I think the quality is good for this price point. The wood surface feels nice and sturdy. The built in monitor raiser and storage is what attracted me to this product, and it's helped with keeping my workspace organized. This comes with fabric insert drawers, which I didn't expect to like as much as I do - they are sturdier than you would think and because the cubbies are deep they do store a lot. There's a hole in the back that you can feed your cables through, as well as metal hooks and a shelf for some simple cable management. It comes with wheels you can put on the desk instead of the regular feet which I don't have a use for but is nice to be included. I like that you can program different height presets too. Cons: - this was time consuming to put together, and some of the instructions were confusing, but it wasn't bad enough to where I would remove a star. Just expect to spend a couple hours at least putting this together and make sure to pay attention to the diagrams in the instruction booklet. - It seems a bit slow while it's raising / lowering compared to other standing desks I've tried. This doesn't bother me personally, but for some that might be annoying. Overall I think if you are looking for a standing desk that doesn't have the sterile office look like most do, but is at an affordable price, I would recommend this. ... show more

TL:DR: It's a great desk, looks good and holds a ton of stuff. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. This desk was purchased for the sole purpose of replacing an existing manual sit/stand desk. My arms were starting to hurt lifting the large amount of weight whenever I wanted to stand and the original desk springs just were not cutting it. I work from home and also use the same workstation for gaming/music production so space was a MUST. Value: 5-Stars First off, if you have been shopping then you know that size and feature-wise this desk is one of the best valued desks out there. My requirements were at minimum 60"x30" in order to mimic the same setup I was currently using. This desk came in at 63" x29.5". Note: The dimensions on amazon appear to be 30" total but the measurements are counting the top as 12.5" and the main working area as 17.5". But the top overhangs by .5", thus 29.5". Not a big deal. It raises and lowers with all of my equipment on it with no issues. The veneer is decent and does not look fake. The pictures do not do it justice but my hardwood floors are hickory and this came out a shade lighter and a shade more yellow. The veneer is slightly textured as well further providing the illusion of real wood from afar. The desk also has great cable management for power strips and extra cabling in the rear. Supplied are some 3M sticky wire ties. Grab yourself a roll of Velcro cable ties from Amazon; I used almost a whole roll :) Assembly: 4.5 Stars 95% of this project can be assembled by a single person. The instructions, while tiny and at times vague, were adequate. There are references to watching videos on Amazon before installing. This may help you. There also were included wheels with the desk (that I used) but were not mentioned at all in the written instructions. Again, this was easy to figure out but a 5-star review warrants GREAT instructions. You will most likely need a second person to help you flip the desk over. I am sure it is passible to do it solo, but I did not want to scratch my floors or damage the legs of the desk. Sturdiness and Construction: 4.5 Stars As you can see from the pictures this desk can handle a wide range of equipment. I run (1) 27" Monitor, (2) 24" Monitors, (2) Laptops, an IPad, a Multifunction Printer, and then peripherals. The desk has so much creative storage that it does not feel cluttered and leaves the main surface for what you need it for: work and play. I deducted a half-star due to the lack of cable management holes direct from the manufacturer. I think this was a missed opportunity; but if you are handy and have a drill you can do what I did (see pics). Note: I used a 1.25" spade bit and it fit the largest of plugs with ease. I also deducted a tiny amount of points due to the noise of the motor. Keep in mind, this desk beats the price of the name-brand by about $600 or more. The motor noise is not worth that to me but you should at least be aware. Final thoughts: 5 star The manufacturer of this desk gets Kudos for sending EXTRA HARDWARE in each bag. There was at least 1 extra of each type of hardware supplied in the kit. Now, if you are careful you won't ever need them. But I have assembled some big-box store items before and either had a missing screw or one that broke during installation. THANKS! Wheels on a desk. At first I thought: "Why do I need wheels? It will always be in the same spot?" Well, let me tell you two reasons. 1) It made the transition from my old sit/stand desk to my new one SUPER EASY. I literally built this setup and rolled it into place as opposed to having to have a heavy desk slid into position after putting all of my equipment on it or, worse yet, have an ergonomics nightmare trying to crawl under and fit in a tight space behind it. 2) I have hardwood floors and dogs. Yes, There is hair everywhere in between vacuum sessions. My old desk required me to get out the hand-tool and maneuver around the legs. Now, with the new desk I can just gently move it out of the way, vacuum around it, and glide it back into place. AWESOME! ... show more
