I ordered this about a month and half ago to improve my lower body strength because I was told that I have chicken legs due to not having free weights at home. I didn't want to purchase all of the heavy equipment to do squats and after some research found this. I ordered it and it arrive in a couple of days with an extra collapsible beverage container which is also convenient. It comes with a bar that you put together before each workout and all of your equipment fits inside a box. It also contains the following resistance bands: 4 x 50lbs 2x 30lbs 2x 20lbs 2x 10lbs This totals up to 320lbs. It also comes with individual hand attachments which can connect to the resistance bands. There is also an apparatus that you can hook up to a door to do exercises that don't work well when you only need a single point of resistance, like leg extensions. So far I've been impressed with my strength improvements(even though I still have chicken legs as 1 month isn't much time) and can't think of any other way you could squat 320lbs with equipment that fits inside a small box at this cost. I'm also figuring out new exercises I can do every day because I like figuring things out on my own but there are online videos you can watch to learn different workouts. The weight won't fully match those weights unless you are at full extension so the exercise is different from free weights but still increases strength. The board that holds down the resistance bands appears to be durable and is portable. The bar and the individual hand attachments fit in the foldable board. The only downside is that the bands may need to be periodically replaced. On the plus side, the manufacturer has planned for this and they will ship them to you if this occurs. Overall, besides the band issue, the solution appears to be well designed, can workout your entire body and improve your strength all for a reasonable price in the comfort of the location of your choice. ... show more

I have been using adjustable free weights for the better part of the year, but I was finding it difficult to progress, especially heavy compound exercises, with the limited amount of weight and handles I had. Space was also a big concern for me as I didn't have anywhere to put a power rack, let alone all the equipment to go along with it. This product solved both those issues for me. At first, I was a bit skeptical about using bands for the first time, but they turned out to be extremely versatile and durable. After three months of exclusively using the EVO Gym to work out, I can definitely say I am presently surprised with both the quality of the product and the progress in muscle gain that I was able to make with it. The bands and the platform seem well-built, so they should last for some time if treated properly. I think the bands work best with high reps, which lets you get crazy good pumps. It could work for heavy strength training; it has the available resistance, but I wouldn't say the experience using bands is the same as using actual weights, just similar. Although, a mixture of bands and free-weight exercises would probably be more optimal in the future. If you're a beginner or just not sure how to go about using this product, it comes with exercise tutorials that can be handy. Still, the EVO hook and door anchor ultimately let you use the bands however you like with a little creativity. My only real complaint about the product within my time using it was that one band strap for a 50 started to detach from the band itself a couple of weeks in. However, the seller happily sent a replacement within a few days of bringing this issue up, so I consider the customer support another positive. If you are interested in the EVO gym and can get it on a good deal, then I would recommend doing so, as I think the product's versatility lets you maximize the value you can get out of it. ... show more

For some people, this could potentially be an entire at-home gym (with some creativity). For me, it’s great to have on days when I don’t have time to lift weights. Here are the exercises I’ve been able to do so far: -Bicep curls (one arm and two arm) -Tricep push downs (with door anchor) -Overhead tricep extensions (with door anchor) -Lateral raises -Upright rows -Squats (not full extension) -Calve raises (not full extension) -Standing shoulder presses Here’s what I like: -Band weights are clearly labeled -All bands come with their own carabiner/clip -Comes with individual handles and straight bar -Includes door anchor -Takes up very little space -Plenty of resistance -Platform feels solid What I don’t like: -When the platform/case is closed up for storage, there is no latch holding it closed (very minor gripe) I have absolutely no regrets about buying this piece of equipment. I’m actually hitting some muscles differently than I’m used to, so despite having worked out for the past 30 years I was a little sore in spots (which is a good sign). If you’re even thinking about buying something like this, just do it. You’ll be glad you did and you’ll also be supporting a small business. ... show more
