    • An elegant and convenient deck
This is one of the more unique decks in my collection. The art style is simple and alluring while maintaining all the nuance of the original rider style tarot decks. The booklet seems a bit bare bones, but then there are other books on tarot card meanings that you could buy to supplement the deck, especially at the low price point which is a major plus. One pleasant surprise was that the card's sides have a sparkly gold treatment that makes the deck profile look gilded, and the gold color in the card art is more lustrous than the images suggest. The cards do tend to stick to each other a little, but i wager that will lessen with use. The small size of the cards means that you can take this deck on the go without over much fuss or losing any bag size. If there was a con to point out it's the simplicity of the art style, which doesn't leave allot room for interpretation or reflection, but that's merely a trade off of the art style used.     • This deck is amazing.
The media could not be loaded. I really like the color scheme. The marbled look of the purple areas is a super nice touch. The gold ink is lovely, the gold edges are beautiful, and the carrying case and guide book make this a wonderful deck for anyone new to tarot or are on the go. The box isn't very hard to open once you get the sticker off. Make sure to open it from the top, there's a divet in the top edge of the box that makes the plastic easier to open. They do stick together a bit at first, but that goes away once you separate the cards individually and shuffle of a bit. Same with the weird texture others have mentioned, it gets less weird the more you shuffle. The simple design pared with keeping much of the original symbolism makes this deck rather easy to read intuitively, and makes it the perfect deck for a beginner who needs a cost effective deck, but isn't a big fan of the original images of the ryder waite tarot. The only issue I have is that the marbling is the same on the back of all the cards, and isn't designed to be reversible even if the images are. This means you can easily tell if a card is reversed or not once you are familiar with the marbled pattern. This is a VERY small niche nitpick for what is, in all other facets, an amazing and beautifully designed deck. I also use shuffling tarot decks as a form of fidgeting toy. These cards are a perfect size and weight to make fidgeting with them very comforting and satisfying. I believe this deck could find a special place in any tarot reader's collection, and would recommend it to beginners and experts alike! I look forward to using them often! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This deck is smaller and easier shuffle and handle. I have average size hands but most decks are so big they are not easy to shuffle. The imagery makes it easy to insightfully interpret the meanings. I bought this nearly two years ago and find myself going back to use it over and over. The quality is good, they still look new.     • Great compact size and clean images
First, for the people concerned about struggling with the packaging ... don't be. Take a moment to remove the sticker seal from the top of the clear section and use the thumb cut out to flip up the box top tab like any other box containing a card deck. I was in in about 4 seconds. Second, for the people concerned about sticky cards ... the matte finish on the cards is different from cards that have more of a waxy/slippery surface. That said, I am able to shuffle just fine, and honestly appreciate that they are not so slippery. I like to break up the deck into chunks and shuffle those chunks separately anyway (small hands). Third, the imagery is simple but not incomplete. I have been practicing tarot for several years and this deck is a good echo of the Smith Waite artwork. So it will be either a good starter deck (the traditional decks have a lot of detail that can sometimes overwhelm!), or a good travel/coffee table deck for someone more experienced. I really like the compact size of these cards - they feel good in my hands and are easy for me to shuffle so I can meditate on my energies. As others have said, the design of the box is inelegant - the cardboard has a magnetized tab and unfolds like a book, but there is a stiff plastic sleeve pasted inside that only opens from the top or bottom. It would have been nicer to do away with the plastic sleeve and have a fully enclosed cardboard box with that magnetized tab. The "major" issue for me, is that there is an asymmetrical marbleized pattern on the backs of the cards that makes it very clear whether they are upright or reversed. Over time this visual tell tends to interfere with pick-a-card methods. I've resorted to looking away and feeling the cards, instead - it works, but I'd rather have a symmetrical/plain print that allows me to look without distraction/interference. [In the picture I've included, the card on top of the deck is showing the upright pattern on the back, the one placed on the right is showing the reversed pattern.] Still, it's a very nice price for an "everyday" tarot deck and I love the artwork and the quality of the cards themselves (clean matte print with deep purple and metallic gold). I love this tarot deck! I bought it in 2021 and it's still my favorite. It's beautiful and easy to read. I also like that the cards are smaller because it makes them much easier to handle. The cards are thicker than other decks I own. It took some use to soften them, but that good quality has resulted in them holding up great for 3 years of regular use. ... show more
