  • Lights went out after one week and AWFUL customer service
Size: 7.5 ft
UPDATE: Unfortunately, my original four star review is now a two star. About a week after writing my original review a section of lights on our tree went out. I wasn't able to figure out why so we had to endure the season with a dark section on our tree. After we took the tree apart I tried to figure out what was wrong. I even took a new bulb and tried replacing all the bulbs that were out. No luck. So I contacted the tree manufacturer to see if they would replace the top of our tree where the lights were out. Their offer was to send me new lights. They said I could remove the old light and replace them. I told them that that was not an option because part of the purpose of having a pre-lit tree is not having to mess with the lights. Also, the lights are attached so they are not easily removed. Basically, the tree would not be the same and frankly, I didn't want the chore of replacing lights. I was told that I had no other options. So I returned the tree to Amazon. Normally I would be the last person to buy an artificial tree but with Covid this year I just couldn't justify going out in the crowds to get a real tree. So reluctantly I purchased this tree. Well I just finished setting it up and it looks great. My son commented on how real it looks. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. Other than the lack of smell, it could be mistaken for a real tree. (As for the lack of smell, see how I handled that by reading below). I think the secret to this tree is taking your time. I spent over two hours working on getting it to look full and real. Here are a couple of tips that may be helpful. 1) Wear gloves while opening the branches on your tree. If you don't your hands can become pretty sore and raw. 2) I found a method that worked for me and seemed to make it easier. I first opened the branches on the top section of the tree because I could do it sitting down. Next I put the two other sections together in the stand. I kept the string that was wrapped around the sections on the middle section so that it held the branches out to the way while I worked on the bottom of the tree. Then I opened up the branches of the tree by working from the bottom up. You can see better this way. I cut the string when I was ready to work on the middle section. After I finished that I put the top on the tree on and adjusted branches here and there to fill in and cover up. 3) The most important thing is to take your time. Work methodically While I was opening the branches I thought about how a real Christmas tree's branches look. How a fir tree's branches lie flat and spread out to the side. Make sure you open every branch section. There was one area that I noticed a hole and realized that there was a branch that I missed and hadn't opened yet. The finished tree is beautiful and best of all, it is already lit. The dreaded job of putting on the lights is already done. There's just the fun part left... decorating. One last tip, if you love the smell of a Christmas tree and miss that, try buying a real fir wreath (like they sell at Costco) and bringing it into the house. Also, this is what I am going to do, you can go to anywhere that they sell real trees. They always have extra branches that they cut off the bottoms of the trees that people buy and they will usually give them away for free. Get some of those, cut to size and tuck them in between the branches of your artificial tree. Voila, instant tree smell. You can also use real branches for decorating a mantel or a table or even put some smaller ones in a vase. Real tree smell even without a real tree. ... show more

  • Good choice, good quality
Size: 7.5 ft
Overall a good buy. It has the real feel tips, so most of what you see isn’t the fuzzy traditional tinsel-like greenery. Those types of branches make up the interior portion, but you can’t tell much from the outside. It seems like almost all trees with the real feel branches have the traditional kind to fill in the background. I spent about an hour and a half fluffing the branches and it filled in nicely. Make sure to watch videos about how to correctly fluff a tree, and work layer by layer. I like that it’s not a perfect triangle like some fake trees- when the lines are perfectly straight it’s clear it’s a fake tree. Some branches stick out further than other, giving it a more realistic appearance. I think it is plenty full- anyone who said it wasn’t full either got a different tree than me or didn’t fluff the branches well. Cons: a few of the small branches were not well attached, and fell off when fluffing. I’m worried about how well the rest of them will hold up. There were also no replacement bulbs in the box, which is annoying because some bulbs always need to be replaced even right out of the box. I assume most Christmas light bulbs are the same, so I will buy some replacements. It’s not super sturdy, and the pieces do spin, but I’m not worried about it falling over or anything. For the look and the price, I think it’s a good deal. I will update the review after it has been used for the season if anything changes. ... show more

  • Saved Christmas!
Size: 7.5 ft
Update! Year 2 and the tree is still beautiful! Takes a lot of fluffing and manipulating as does most artificial trees!!! Worth it if you put in the time! This tree was a lifesaver!!! I ordered a national tree co 7 5ft Dunhill fir and it was the worst tree I've ever seen. I was hesitant to order anymore trees online. I browsed for 2 days until I saw this. it had decent reviews so I went for it and I'm soooooo glad I did! It saved my Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday and as a nurse, was really hoping for something special to come home to and now I have it! Super easy to assemble, the pieces are marked, no need to plug one cord into the other-the feature activates when you lock the tree pieces together, and I did it without help. there is a push button feature to turn the lights on and off; all of my lights worked. It takes some time to fluff but so does every tree if you want it to look full and beautiful! Not disappointed whatsoever!!!! Great tree for the money! ... show more

  • Nice for the price and in general - fairly realistic looking
Size: 6.5 ft
For the second time in 5 years our real tree has started to dry out mid-December (despite ensuring a fresh local variety bought not too early, fresh cut off the trunk, and regular water and a nearby humidifier...ugh). I’ve finally decided to go artificial—it’s not as if there’s anything natural about having a tree in your house full of artificial ornaments and lights anyway. My main concern with getting an artificial tree was that it would look too fake, especially if I’m spending less than many hundreds of dollars. This tree looks quite real. Very full looking too after you spend about 30 minutes spreading the branches (don’t skip this step!). The quality is good overall. Nice metal base, and fairly heavy sections. The lights all worked and I’m hopeful they’ll continue to do so for at least three years (I’m not naive, I know lights won’t work forever). The quality is so good that I’ll probably just cut off and tell the lights when they eventually give out. I got the 6.5 foot version and fully assembled it measures exactly that tall (you can bend the top branch down about 6 inches as needed though). ... show more
