I've used this box to keep my phone, external battery packs, and wallet dry throughout extended outdoor expeditions. It is not huge inside but you can easily fit an iphone and an external charger in it with your ID or any essential cars. What it lacks in space it more thank makes up for with it's shock/water resistance. I've been out for two weeks at a time in the pouring rain and my phone was in the box, and I had 0 issues with humidity or wetness. Very reasonable pricepoint with what you're receiving. Sturdy construction that's guaranteed to keep whatever you put in there dry (just don't go diving). Mainly using it to keep my phone, keys, and wallet dry while I do any jetskiing and it does the job superbly. The only thing is that the key is somewhat useless, seeing that you can just turn the "lock" with just your fingers haha. Not really a gripe, but just a funny observation. Overall, I can definitely recommend this product and have a good chance of getting another one as a gift ... show more

    • Keeps things dry but there's room for improvement

I purchased this to keep box of contacts, covid mask, glasses, phone, and cash dry while on boat trips for scuba diving. I like the interior layout of the box, and the rubber padding and mesh net were handy for keeping things secured. Nothing in the box ever got wet. The 'lock' on the box is laughable. There is no pin/tumbler mechanism, it's simply a dial that you can turn with anything you can get leverage with. The key is just a piece of plastic that plugs into the exterior holes on the dial. I was able to easily 'unlock' the box with the plastic toothpick from my pocket knife. I immediately threw the 'key' in the trash. The dial secures the hinge from opening even if you don't 'lock' it, but became very difficult to turn by hand after just a few uses (and possibly from the exposure to salt water), so I stopped even doing that and just closed the hinge. It didn't ever pop open on me unexpectedly but this will be a concern as the box gets more use. I'd say it's a decent product but needs some redesign. Get rid of the useless 'lock' and put a different type of dial opener on it, one that would give you some leverage with your fingers, and it would be a much better product. ... show more

I use this case as a travel humidor for cigars. The rubber mesh hammock in the top is perfect for a large or a couple of small Boveda packs. The case will hold around 10 cigars.
