Does not work, not recommend for any situation. my car's battery is not in good condition, i was going to replace it soon but I want to charge the battery overnight, instead of jump start it in the early morning, before I can take it to a shop. this charger comes brand new, un-open plasctic seal container, with instructions which is basicall useless printed on a small piece of paper, and font is so small and almost unreadable. this charge is big, but very light weight, without the cables I guess it weights as much as a wireless mouse. I open the package and test it with a multimeter, as shown in the picture, its output is only 0.662 volt. you did not misread it. It was not even 6v, it was only 0.66v. same result after I select different "battery type" or "current" I thought my meter was wrong, so I text it on a brand new AA battery, it showed 1.72 volt. Then I was thinking, does this charge with with a detector or protector that will only works when connected to car battery? so I connect it to my car battery, and test, it was only 7.1 volt, exactly same volt of my car battery. I was thinking again, if I let it charge for a while, would it work magically? So i leave it plugged into the wall and connecting to the car battery. 6 hours later, I went back to check, the voltage of car battery drops very slightly to 7.0. I cann't stop thinking, this charger may be a very fun toy for kids to play with. It has flashing lights, lightweighted, 0.662 v output. unfortunately I read the description again, the web page did not mention it is a toy. did the seller forgot it? ... show more

    • Easy to use and store!
Great tool to have in your garage. Especially when it's cold. I've used this on my truck and it's really easy to connect and use. Nothing fancy, the price seems reasonable, and shipping time was great!

    • Works as needed but not quite as described
This is a lightweight, simple trickle charger that is functioning as expected. I've had it on a 12V marine battery for a few weeks now and the battery is maintaining its 12.6 "resting" level. It was interesting to note that while I had initially fully charged the battery with a regular charger, when this one was attached it showed it charging from 50% to 100 % over a few hours before displaying "100% charged." That didn't make sense. There really weren't any instructions but it was easy to figure out. However some info on the listing states that the battery will read 14.4 volts when fully charged (with charger still attached) - I find it only reading 12.8 V. That seems fine to me - just very different from what is stated. Seems okay for an inexpensive, lightweight battery maintainer. ... show more

I have been using this charger on a deep cycle marine battery to maintain voltage. The charger has been working fine. The only problem I have noticed is with the device label. It was bubbled up when I received it and it continues to keep unpeeling from the face of the device. Although this issue has not caused any issues with how the device operates, it is annoying to keep pushing it back into place. Eventually I will use some adhesive to keep it in place. I would have given this product 5 stars if the label would stay in place. ... show more

    • Got the job done, instructions not entirely clear
This battery charger was able to charge my battery from about 50% to nearly 100% in about four hours or so which was considerably faster than I would have thought. It has a couple of different charging options and seems to be reasonably well constructed. The instructions at times were a bit unclear and seemed to contradict themselves, they also did little to explain how one should choose the proper setting for the type of battery one is attempting to charge. This required me to have to preform a somewhat time consuming internet search to determine the proper settings for myself, when a clearer explanation of setting options would have made it such efforts unnecessary. ... show more
