We run a rain gutter business and my son is always on a roof. He absolutely LOVES these leather boots. He compared them to the $600 pair we bought 2 years ago, and he says these are just as good if not a bit better. He says they are very sticky on both the asphalt and metal roofs so far, and being leather the toe should last several years at least. They are also surprisingly light. The look great, and are insulated and water proof which he will need now that its winter. I've attached a few pictures of them after 3 roofing jobs and at least a dozen inspections, so you can see how well they are already holding up. By the way, this is the first time we tried the "Try Before You Buy" thing that Amazon offers - and we ended up keeping all of the shoes/boots we ordered. 😄 But it's a great option to try them on around the house before you decide to pay for them - especially if you are paying this much. But overall, we are really really happy with this high quality boot so we recommend them highly for roofers. ... show more

This is an overall good waterproof work shoe. The feet stay dry, even after spending time in a wet rainy morning. The only complaint is the upper part of the shoe significantly chafes the ankle and above. I have had to bandaide the sores they created. I bought these boots for my husband. He works in the construction field. He kept shopping at stores and would always complain about the store bought boots. They rip or his feet would get wet etc… My son told me about these so I ordered them. My husband said he hasn’t wore a more comfortable boot then this one. My husband love these. They last him a year or longer and his boots go through a lot working construction. Others would dry rot or sole would fall off or holes would happen in just a couple months.
