The fan noise is just what you might expect. If the cooler is nearby in a quiet room, it may bother some people. I tried it out in a different room. This was a gift for a fussy user. They like their white wine literally ice cold so the coolest temperature provided by the cooler unfortunately didn't cut it. The Euhomy wine bottle chiller will keep your wine chilled between 41 and 64 degrees Fahrenheit (5 and 18 degrees Celsius). This set comes with a wine chiller, AC power cord (two), wine aerator, and wine vacuum to keep your bottle fresh over time. It was supposed to have one AC power cord and one DC car charger. However, I received two AC power cords and zero car chargers. Not a huge concern because I don't see myself needing to chill wine in the car. The wine chiller is very easy to use. Connect the the power cord to the wine chiller and press the power button. The up and down arrows will let you increase and decrease the temperature setting. You have to press the up / down button once to increase / decrease the temperature by one degree. So, you cannot press and hold the down (up) arrow to quickly get the the minimum (maximum) setting. The instructions state this wine chiller is designed to keep an already cooled bottle of wine or any other beverage at a temperature setting within the given device ranges. However, when starting with a bottle of wine at room temperature (~72 degrees) and the wine chiller set at the minimum of 41 degree F the wine was 58 degrees F after 2 hours the wine was 48 degrees F after 3 hours the wine was 42 degrees F after 4 hours the wine was 40 degrees F after 4.5 hours The instructions say that it will hold a bottle with a maximum diameter of 92mm and 90mm. Obviously, there can only be one maximum diameter, and I measure the maximum to be slightly larger than 3.5inches. Therefore, I disagree with the 92mm maximum and think the maximum is closer to 89-90mm. You can hear the device, but it is not very loud. If the room was completely silent then you would hear it, but in an active environment I don't expect you will notice it. Overall, the wine chiller does exactly as you would expect. It keeps your wine cool. Ice will chill the wine faster and keep it colder, but this device will not drip all over the place when you want to pour a class. You may notice a bit of condensation inside the chiller, but not enough to drip. Also, if you have close to a power plug then this will definitely keep your wine chilled longer than a wine koozie. This item is Made in china and being sold by a Chinese company on Amazon. At the current price of 80 bucks. . . I think it’s quite overpriced, but overall I like it. ... show more

This cooler does what it's supposed to do, namely chill wine. That alone is worth five stars. It looks nice, which is a bonus. The only downside is the fact it does take a bit of room to store, but it's not terrible. A nice gift for the wine lover in your life, or as a treat for yourself!
