Felt tip doesn't work as well as a pen with true bristles. This doesn't clog, or is it difficult to draw on. It doesn't dry out like felt tips do. I highly recommend this brand and it lasts more than all day!

UPDATED REVIEW: I knocked this down to 4/5 stars. After consistent use, I found the staying power was no longer as strong after about 2 wks. It's still stronger than most basic liquid liners, but I think it only has a "fair" water-resistant quality to it. If the liner gets wet (from tears, sweat, very light rain, etc.), it can smudge, fade, or completely wipe off when touched by something. Even after it dries after getting wet, it pretty much has lost a good amount of its water-resistant abilities. There are better water-proof or water-resistant liquid liners out there. I don't think I'd buy this one again. I really don't like having to check on my makeup or do any touch-ups through out the day. The liner is not a complete dud... I just know of several others that work better and cost about the same. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for waterproof/extremely water-resistant BROWN liquid eyeliner. (Brown just doesn't seem to stick as well as black does. So, I feel like it's rare to find ones that perform outstandingly. The best liquid liners I've found to date are predominantly more of a black-brown color. I get excited when I find a color that's actually a shade of brown.) The color of this liner is more dark brown than black-brown, which is awesome. It's not as warm & "light" in shade as the NYX pro epic liner pen, but it's definitely more on the brown spectrum than black. The finish is more natural in that it's not overly glossy, nor is it matte. It's got a soft brush tip that allows me to draw ultra fine lines. The brush is not overly soft so that it's hard to work with. I feel like it's the perfect texture that allows for quick, even application. The pigment is rich & ink flow is steady. No skipping so far. I've used it 5 times and it has been consistent. I'd say this liner is a toss up between waterproof & very water-resistant. I'll have to run it thru a few more IRL tests. I only line my upper lid with liquid liner. Sometimes I do a thin line (not a tight line because I like a more noticeable look), sometimes I do a medium thick line. I usually extend the liner a little bit past the corner of my eyes, but sometimes I do a slight wing. My eye shape kind of slopes downwards at the ends. I did attempt a tight line today, and the liner stayed put despite having ultra dry eyes that later turned very watery for hours. It's still going strong after 14 hrs of wear... looks just like when I first applied it. For the most part, the liner lasts all day without flaking, fading, or smudging. I did have one incident, which resulted in slight fading & smudging. I was laying down while watching a movie the other day, and my eye started tearing on one side. (No crying. Just tearing from laying sideways. I probably had 4-5 tears actually roll out randomly.) After the movie was finished, my medium thick line was a bit faded/smudged where I had teared up. (Maybe this was due to a combo of tearing up & having my face mashed against a pillow at the same time.) The area was easy to touch up using the same liner. Going over the same spot did not cause caking or more liner to be removed. *Also, something to note: I teared up after having already worn this liner for 16 hrs straight that day without issues. I had worn it with contact lenses on, applied eye drops 2-3 times during the day, and removed my lenses (which causes my eyes to instantly water) without any changes to the liner. So, it held up for a long time before showing minor issues. When I wash my face at night (using Neutrogena gentle cream non-foaming face wash and warm/hot water), the tail ends of the liner come of pretty easily. This is similar to the other VERY strong, WATERPROOF liquid liners I typically use. The difference with this one is that it was harder to remove between my lashes & right above my lash line. I used my soft face washing pad & all. In order to get every single bit of it off, I have to either scrub a little more or add just a tiny bit of cold cream. That's some good staying power. *I plan to use this eyeliner daily for at least 2.5 more wks. I'll update my review if I notice any problems. Whenever I find a new brown liquid waterproof liner that seems to be promising, I like to use it for at least 3-4 wks straight to see if the consistency changes with regular use or if there are any problems with the pen itself. One of my favorite liners (NYX) is notorious for leaking horribly after about 2 wks of continuous use. Another one I like tends to get clogged easily & requires constant wiping/cleaning - not just after every use, but between lining each eyelid. (I think because that one has a very flat finish.) I'll have to see how this one pans out. But so far, I'm liking this liner. I'm considering permanently adding it to my list of tried & true, long-lasting, waterproof, liquid, brush-tipped brown eyeliner pens. It's not permanently added yet... I've got to be assured I get good, consistent performance out of it for 3-4 wks. Based on the performance over the last 5 days, I would recommend this liner. Etude house has made some pretty impressing cosmetics, which are now discontinued. I'd say this is one of them. I hope they don't discontinue or change it. ... show more
