So I should start by saying that my desk is a butcher block. I also stream so I have many clamps on it from my microphone to ring light and now the keyboard tray! I've been meaning to get one and I'm very glad this is the one that I found. It is very slippery as another review stated but no problem for my keyboard. My mouse glides over but the carbon material makes the mouse bounce around a bit. Very hard to notice but I do. Overall when it comes to the carbon at least you will definitely need at least a mouse matt and may want one that fits your keyboard if it does not have good grip. But it looks awesome and feels so premium! Right out of the box I was like "woah this is a nice one". I'm very happy with this and it works great. it is missing pads to reduce damage to the desk but I'll probably keep it for a very long time to come so probably a non issue. It also should be noted that when you install it you need to pull the clamps apart as much as you can to ensure a smooth rolling experience when sliding it in and out. I put the clamps on top of my original oversize mousepad that covers my desk. Underneath it the pad was lifted and actually made more area on the desk not flat and therefor unusable as you can see in the pictures. On top of the matt was great because it added that padding I wanted and added to the grip without having to tighten the clamp down as much. Do not overtighten this either as it makes it slope backwards. I used a level and tightened each side in increments to find the perfect balance between clamped and leveled. Overall this is a very premium product that could maybe benefit from some extra directions and pads. But nothing that was a real problem for me. Since these are suggestions on improvements and don't really take away from the function it still gets 5 stars. Wish it was a bit wider too. As you can see in the picture with a ten key full size keyboard it leaves a small/normal amount of mouse space (depending who you ask). My DPI is usually high and I can travel across monitors in a wrist flick but I do still like having more space for more options. ... show more

This matches my new desk perfectly- I only have 1/2” available under the desk before the ridge so I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it does! One screw would not go in- it looks like the hole in the shelf itself is not set correctly. It seems to be stable with 2 screws on that side. The decline on the edge is a little problematic at first with my wrist rest sliding off but that may just be a matter of getting used to it. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase! ... show more

This is a very nice looking desk shelf. It is super easy to put together and to install on a table or desk edge. I was hoping to add this to a desk with a missing drawer that pulls out, but it was too wide. I now have it installed on a different desk. I would suggest to measure appropriately and leave room for the brackets that hold the shelf. Overall, this is a nice shelf, a bit pricy, but is very functional with a little plastic drawer beneath it as well. ... show more

Great option. I'm surprised at how well it looks with my faux wood standing desk. it was easy to put together. it seems to be clamped very well. I'd suggest it to others that are looking for a similar solution.
