This flower drying machine is a really neat product. It's retro styling is appealing and the pale blueish green color is just lovely. The flower details on the door add even more of a special feeling to the visual. Looks aside, the unit seems durable, with metal construction and well constructed, ribbed plastic knobs that don't look cheap in any way. It has nice raised feet that lift it about an inch off of the surface it sits on. It comes with three removable metal wire racks that will be convenient for holding or securing flowers to. It also comes with a small but informative instruction manual which not only includes instructions and tips, but also a chart with drying times and temperatures for a multitude of flower varieties. It is really well done. I can't wait until the spring and summer to have flowers to dry. In the mean while I put the racks in and did a dry run to see how it works. I set the temperature at 195, which according to the chart is a very common flower drying temperature, and set the timer for twenty minutes. Setting the timer turns the unit on. It started right up and the blower started right away. It started to heat up shortly there after. Here is the one thing I don't like about the machine. It is quite loud when it is running. The racks rattled in the machine and created additional noise, but that might have been because they were empty. On the positive side, there is a light that comes on so that you can watch your flowers drying and check on them without having to open the door. It illuminates the whole interior nicely. The machine ran without incident and dinged and turned off when the timer ran out. As with any machine of this type, such a new oven or toaster oven, there was some initial odor when the machine first heated up, but it was relatively mild and disappeared quickly. I recommend giving it a short run before using it with flowers for the first time. Any issues mentioned with this machine are either mild or to be expected. I actually really love this machine and I have high hopes for its flower drying ability. I own a high-end food dehydrator, but I don't use it for flowers as I will not use the same unit for flowers that I put food in. The concept for this unit seems much the same as my dehydrator, only the listed drying times for this unit are much lower and the racks are definitely specialized to hold flowers. Overall, I am impressed for now. I will try to update this review when the weather warms and I start getting flowers from my gardens. For now I am very happy with my order. ... show more

I make pressed flowers for my resin and I wanted to give dried flowers a try. When this came up I was very excited (even though it's winter and there are no flowers around) I bought a bouquet of daisy type flowers and started. I read the instructions and in the booklet it gave me times and temps for different flowers. I tried the one for daisies and let her rip. It is pretty loud!! Not enough to keep me from using it, but enough to irritate you. I did prop it a little in the front and that seems to help, barely. Anyway.... My flowers are pretty fried. They did not turn out well at all. I will experiment with different flowers and temps and probably use their guide as a starting off point. You get 3 small racks but unless the flowers are flat, you won't be using all at once. I am excited to keep trying, I'll figure it out!! ... show more

This has been a great addition to my crafting area, it is super easy I use and I have been able to do so many new projects with it. I am now always on the hunt for a pretty flower to dry because this has been so much fun. This dryer works great and is pretty quick

There is a 50° temperature difference between the bottom rack and the top rack. This is not a figment of my thermometer, this is not a matter of how I'm holding the door. I did this three times, holding the thermometer different ways. And as you can see, the Rosemary that I am drying on the bottom rack is still bright green. The Rosemary on the top rack is completely dry. In the middle rack, the stuff in the front is completely green and the stuff in the back is completely dry. So apparently there's a back to front temperature difference as well, but I'm not able to check that with my thermometer. Also, the racks are way too close together. If I was doing flowers, if it was anything other than perfectly flat, I would not be able to use more than the bottom rack, possibly the top one. ... show more
